This is one of the oldest markets in Taichung. It was constructed in the early 1900 and lasted until now. While many of the stalls are closed, there still remains a lot of food stalls that have been good enough to last 3-4 generations. Of particular importance is the octagon building. The upper floor has been restored to function as a museum. Overall, it is nice to walk around and into the structure to experience time in the past.
