Located within the RMIT University, the RMIT Gallery has been around since 1977. It’s quickly become one of our most popular spaces, with many RMIT alum having exhibitions there over the years. Yet another multi-faceted space for arts works, the Arts House has plays, dance shows, galleries, and plenty more. Father and daughter duo Cathy and Merv will be bringing a joint exhibition to the West End Arts Space this April, around 20 years since the patriarch’s death. This show is a conversation between daughter and father, the pair bonding over their shared love of art, and this exhibition is the perfect continuation of it. Especially in this day and age, protests have become quite a big thing in Australia.
By presenting their work on the streets, artists have made art accessible to a larger crowd. This has allowed for more appreciation and understanding towards different artistic approaches and expressions. Glenferrie Road is a Melbourne shopping institution, starting in Kew you travel south through Hawthorn and arrive at the Caulfield end where we are located just over Wattletree Rd. One of the original strip shopping centres bordering on Armadale and Malvern East and not too far from St Kilda and Glen Iris it is well worth a visit to experience the eclectic mix of retail business and cafes. Matching the best frame and matt board means trying combinations from our hundreds of samples - we carry corner samples of a very wide range of picture frames to match to your work. This means selecting thick or thin, wooden or aluminium, plain or ornate, coloured, patterned or wood stain. When first made, this cartographic work, that is at once a cultural self-portrait and history painting, was visionary in its dimensions.

Bluethumb has really done the hard yards to demystify and democratise the process of buying art. The online-only gallery gathers together more than 15,000 artists and curates them in very user-friendly categories. The light and bright space, flanked by an expansive, curved glass wall looking out onto the estate, is the perfect backdrop for a range of colourful and exciting works sourced from over 20 Australian Indigenous Communities.
Melissa Powell is an award winning aerial photographer, whose work is held in Australian puplic collections and private collections both in Austraila and internationally. Ryan Ponsford is a multifaceted photographer, whose minimalist aesthetitic, technical skills and experimental approach to photography produces moving and imagery. Through the influence of both eastern and western cultures, philosophies and practices, Ted Lincoln creates paintings that explore the transitory nature of landscape.

Each one was as delightful, charming and exquisite as the next. Our artists do not have to be exclusive to Art Lovers Australia. Art Lovers Australia runs an online gallery and a dedicated blog to promote and share our passion for art as creators and appreciators.
