Overall, Taitung is a fantastic choice for anyone looking to live in a beautiful and affordable location in Taiwan. Even though I know water can not run up hill, it still leaves you confused. Small garden area above which is maintained to a very high standard. Former farm irrigation channel where water appears to flow uphill, with washrooms, parking & kiosks.
The island is pretty small but there are a lot of sea caves and rock formations to see, as well as several seashore plant species. To take great photos and for a breath-taking view, go for sunrise. Jia Lu Lan is a nice scenic spot facing the sea with a couple of sculptures and artworks.
