The World Loves Melbourne was invited as guests of Mr Miyagi to sample its dinner menu with some new options. We enjoyed the new shared dishes presented artistically and full of flavour, technique and concern for texture and balance.
Beautifully executed pan-Asian offerings by Andrew McConnell. Come for Korean-style barbequed meats, Shanghai dumplings and Melbourne’s most famous lobster roll. Their lunch Teppanyaki Special starts from $38 per person and is available daily (though on Monday and Tuesday pre-booking is required). Ichi Ni Na Na, treat yourself to wafu-seasoned wagyu beef tartare with pickled shallots, radish, shiso and croutons, just-out-of-the-ocean sashimi salads and charcoal-grilled king prawns with yakitori sauce. Encouraging us to converse more in Japanese which I'm getting more confident and comfortable in.I would highly recommend anyone who wants to learn the language to give these people a call. The teachers and staff are friendly, knowledgeable and approachable. Workload isn't too much for someone working full time to manage, but is still plenty to be challenging . Tokyo Tina is a modern Japanese fusion with a slight twist of Vietnamese. They are well known for their unique charcoal grilled creations and delicious custard buns.
