With some of Taiwan's most beautiful coasts, mountains, valleys, etc., Taitung Seashore Park has grown to become a preferred travel destination of many tourists. It borders a breathtaking coastline that complements the magnificent view of the valleys and mountains in the distance. It is scantily populated, and so perfect for enjoying profound peace and tranquility. However, the relaxing ambiance is also perfect for fun-filled family activities, including photo opportunities and outdoor sports. Along the eastern seaboard, are aboriginal-run establishments serving rustic local cuisine (such as wild-boar tartar and sweet potatoes, stone-grilled seafood and betel-nut flower salads) plus folksy live music performances. All thanks to the wide-ranging food variety, we spent more than TW$1000 at Feng Chia Night Market. Took a well-needed nap at Tempus Taichung HotelFeng Chia Night Market was packed to the brim with holiday-makers. At some stretches, we couldn’t even move and I guess domestic travelling must have been at its peak. Without any further ado, let’s begin with Day 1 in Central Taiwan. Also, don’t forget to check out Part 2 of our Central Taiwan Itinerary once you are done reading this post. First of all, we can cut down public transport costs between Taoyuan Airport and Taichung City.
Espiritu Santo (Spanish for ‘the Holy Spirit’) is the largest of Vanuatu's islands and is home to some of the most beautiful white sandy beaches in the entire world. Voted as one of the world’s top ten beaches, the white soft sand and clear blue waters of Champagne Beach took our breath away – coupled with an early heart starter of a glass of champagne, served up by our expedition team. After landing at the small village in the morning, birders made our way past the neat houses onto a logging track that quickly turned into narrow trail. It was very quiet, extremely humid, and the trail was muddy, but we pushed on into the thick secondary forest interspersed with more mature trees. Masuk, our local guide told us that it had rained heavily all night and was likely an explanation for the near absence of bird song.

Also, it’ll make life easier because getting from Airport to Taichung City is not as straightforward as we might think. Below shows two ways to get from Taoyuan Airport to Taichung by public transport. Hey guys, guess you all know by now how much I love Taiwan.

During the late 19th century many coastal areas in the Solomon Island had a long history of "black birding", the seizure of islanders for work on the sugar cane plantations of Australia and Fiji. Before the Zodiac even reached the landing on San Jorge Island we could see Solomons or Ducorp's Cockatoos flying along the forested ridges and we would tally two-dozen of these large parrots during the morning. In addition, we could hear the hoped for White-billed Crows calling. We were welcomed by our local guide, Eddy, and walked past a small group of houses towards a logging road. We successfully lured in a White-billed Crow that flew high above and alighted in a distant tree, offering excellent scope views of its oversized and light-colored bill.
The first thing we did after reaching Sun Moon Lake was to check into Hu Yue Lakeview Hotel. It is located at the southern part of the lake, near Ita Thao Pier. Will write a review on this hotel soon, but if I’m too slow, let me say it here that it’s a great choice and I highly recommend it especially if you need free parking.
