Tokyo and Taipei are the best places for people who enjoy doing a lot of eating whilst overseas. You may well be asked to pose for photos with groups of locals. Can't understand why more people don't visit Taiwan. It is an extremely scenic country and easy to get to.
When I was there a couple of years ago I was very surprised at how nice Puli was, a small city, but very focused on tourism. Other than that you can research what you like and then stop there according to that, 台東伴手禮專賣店 the other two main towns are Taitung and Yilan on the east coast. Ruifang district in the north is also another possibility for a stop. My plan is to travel Taiwan but obviously i am a little short on time.

I stayed in Daan (大安區) but other neighbourhoods were easy to visit and very interesting. At the moment just trying to book the flights MEL – TPE, so far are coming up with China Southern for about $1100, or Air China for a little more... This train and everything else at Carton King is made out of cardboardNow, what else can we do in Cingjing at night? We returned to Mist Plaza, had our MOS Burger dinner, bought some drinks and snacks from 7-11 and checked into our B&B for the next two nights, at Guanghu Siji Minsu B&B(觀湖四季). So many bento sets to choose from, at 7-11 in TaiwanOur final destination was Cingjing, a popular highland where people mostly visit to feed sheep and enjoy great mountain views. We parked at Mist Plazaand made our way to Sky Walk.
Puli I stayed in for 3 or so days, it is also quite tourist friendly, but a smallish city surrounded by good scenery. Outdoors, there is more discretionary use. We were glad to be in a mask wearing community, particularly in crowded markets and public transport.
However we felt his introduction to everything was minimal. We were not enriched much culturally or scientifically by the tour. He didn’t pay much attention to people who were behind taking photos. At one point four of us were lost on the way back to the bus because it was different from we were dropped off.

One thing i really really like about Taiwan is the people, they are super nice and helpful. Customer service in shops and restaurant were top notch too . I had great time chatting with locals while having my legs massaged due to the amount of walking i did . I would consider living in Taipei if only the working hours there were not as long. Are you taking your own private transport? It's possible but i'd rather spend at least a night in Jiufen so you are not so rushed.
Some of the photos I've seen are pretty grass roots, so hygiene immediately popped into mind. Yeah, not so much the fast food option I was considering, was more places where, if needed, we can get a quality plain western meal, like a steakhouse or something. Whilst I am quite broad in my tastes, my daughter is not so much and am a little concerned about how she will go with different foods.

The average prices of hotels in Taitung City have been around $146 per night over the last 3 days. Enjoy the peaceful countryside and coastline at parks, such as Xiaoyeliu Scenic Area and the accompanying rock-strewn beaches. Cycle around Taitung Forest Park and its three lakes or take a boat to Green Island for snorkelling and soaking in saltwater hot springs. On My Way Taitung Hostel is located in Taitung City and offers free Wi-Fi. It also provides an express check-in and check-out feature, a tour desk and luggage storage. Kaishen Sinsu Hotel provides comfortable 3.5-star accommodation in Taitung City.
Having to stand is common, particularly tourist routes outside the city like Yangmingshan, Jiufen and Pingxi. It's worth starting out early to avoid the crowds and secure a seat, especially on weekends. Taxis – I recommend this as a mode of transport if there is a bit of a distance between where you are and where you want to go. There is a taxi company that mandates their drivers were long-sleeved white shirts, black ties, vest and pants. They look smart and their service is impeccable.
Good place to walk around if you like art sculptures. Was reading about it, and sounds like an interesting place to walk around. I'm still trying to work out where to go in Kaohsiung, as the main attraction seems to be Dragon Tiger Pagoda.
