Made from agave that has been cooked and fermented, it’s rather like wine, not in its taste but in that it can be made from different types of agaves and using different production methods. Frida Kahlo reigns supreme as Mexico’s most iconic artist, so it’s no surprise that merch bearing her face or facsimiles of her artwork are among the most popular gifts from Mexico. One of the saddest things I ever saw was a local family having a BBQ on a bridge on a small country road overlooking a beautiful stream valley.

The land nurtures rich diversity of life while the Pacific Ocean brings an abundance of fish to the east coast thanks to the warm Kuroshio. The best Taiwanese rice is grown along the plains between the mountains.

The path meanders through lush gardens, allowing visitors to take in the beauty of the natural surroundings. It's a perfect spot for a leisurely stroll or a picnic with family and friends. Sanxiantai is one of the most beautiful spots on the East Coast, an area full of beautiful geology and natural scenery.
Thus it is better to visit here in summer because you will feel cool and refresh yourself. Taitung is situated on a small plain between the mountains and the ocean at the southern mouth of the East Rift Valley. This provides Taitung with not only spectacular scenery but also an ocean breeze that makes this tropical city surprisingly comfortable.
Don’t forget to try some of the local seafood dishes at the village’s restaurants, which are known for their fresh and delicious seafood. Ready to take a break from hiking and enjoy some fun in the sun? Head over to Taimali Beach where you can relax on the beautiful sandy shores or dive into some exciting water activities such as surfing, kayaking, and snorkeling. When you arrive at Sanxiantai, take a stroll along the bridge that connects the mainland to the small island. As you walk, you’ll notice the distinct rock formations that are said to resemble three Chinese gods. Once you reach the island, you can take a short hike to the top of the hill to get a panoramic view of the surrounding area.

Additionally, art galleries and boutiques in Taitung offer a wide selection of contemporary art pieces created by local artists, including paintings, sculptures, and mixed-media works. Taitung City, known for its natural beauty and commitment to sustainability, offers a variety of eco-friendly souvenir options for visitors. One popular choice is handmade crafts and products made by local artisans using sustainable materials such as bamboo, recycled wood, and natural fibers. These items could include bamboo utensils, woven bags, and wooden decorations, all reflecting the traditional craftsmanship of the region while promoting environmental consciousness. In Taitung City, tourists can find traditional indigenous crafts and artwork at the Dongdamen Night Market.
Definitely worth a visit when you are a tourist in Tai Tung. The best part, is this place anchored by Sabra Andre's store, the amazing indigenous designer who has an incredible fashion shop here. I feel they have more variety of food (or maybe they just have more food that's to my liking 🤷‍♀️). There's outdoor seatings available, though they might be specific to certain stalls. Layout in the middle of the street with seating area in the center.

The Mandarin language barrier may hinder full understanding, but the cappuccino with honey and flower garnish is a popular choice. The cafe provides a coffee demonstration for enthusiasts interested in trying their unique blends. Additionally, their crispy fried chicken set is highly recommended, accompanied by a flavorful Thai-inspired sweet chili sauce. A nice little workout to scale the dragon bridge but the view is beautiful. When you arrive on the island on the other side, be aware it is very warm, even in winter but the landscape is worth the trek.
