Best Robot Vacuum Cleaner and Mop
Robot vacuum cleaners and mops are the best way to quickly clean up messes. The best robot vacs and mops I've tested come with top-quality mapping and navigation and are able to pick up Cheerios, tangled wires and fake dog turds, without leaving them behind.
They're also easy to use using an app that lets you schedule cleaning tasks and see what they're working on.
1. Roborock S8 maxV Ultra
If you're looking for the best robot vacuum and mop with cutting-edge features, look no further than the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. The S8's Dirt-Detection Technology allows it to change the cleaning mode according to the amount of dirt. It will pause and clean its mopping pad more frequently when it encounters dust, while prioritizing carpeted areas to be mopped with a damp pad.
The mop roller has many other smart features, including a dock that connects to the plumbing system in your home to clean and wash it without you having to refill the mop. With the built-in voice assistant in the S8 you can make use of voice commands to set rooms cleaning options and the ability to control granular settings using only your voice.
2. Yeedi Cube
The Yeedi Cube offers a variety of options for those seeking an automated robot vacuum that is hands-free that can also mop. It's one of a variety of robot vacuums that also include mops but is priced at a lower price than the majority of competitors.
Like all robovacs, the Yeedi Cube also requires some work to get it started. This includes setting up an app account and connecting the device to your WiFi network. Once that's done, though the robot is able to begin vacuuming and mopping with ease.
It's important to note that the mapping process can take a while, and the Yeedi Cube may need a couple of attempts before it can get an accurate image of your room. The object detection is also hit-and-miss. It was able skirt around furniture and other obstacles however, it got stuck on a looser rug with tassels and had to flip over to release itself. These aren't major issues and the Yeedi Cube remains a great choice for those in need of an all-purpose cleaning tool that can do it all.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
The Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete is a home cleaning solution. Its innovative mopping feature an inclination that is like hand scrubbing which results in floors that are genuinely cleaned, not just cleaned. The detachable vacuum stick is an innovative tool that can reach places even robot vacuums cannot.
This model is nearly identical to the popular X2 Omni but with a slightly increased suction power of 8,700Pa as well as a few additional smart features. The upgraded RGBD sensor will learn to understand your home's surroundings better and provide dynamic obstacles avoidance. The app's smart features allow you to customize a number of settings, including AI cleanings and virtual boundaries.
The X2 Combo is also self-prepping by having both the robot vacuum as well as the mop returning to their charging base after each task to wash their pads and empty their dust bins and put the waste in the self-sealing bags. This helps keep the system clean and also prevents allergens from circulating. Its battery life is sufficient to remove large areas without the need for the battery to be charged mid-clean.
4. Eufy S1 Pro
As one of the premium robot vacuum and mop models that we have reviewed, the Eufy S1 Pro offers impressive features for its price. It has a powerful 8,000 Pa suction, a rotary floor brush for carpets, and a great obstacle avoidance. It also has a unique mopping method, which utilizes a continuous roller doused with water to pull dirt and then deposit it in the water that is dirty tank.
Its navigation technology was effective in navigating close to walls without crashing and avoiding steps. It struggled with fine particles and didn't always clear the thresholds in rooms. Its operating noise is also quite high, which suggests it could be less of a set-and-forget model than some.
The S1 Pro, like most robotic vacuums, comes with a docking system that allows it to replenish its clean water, empty the dust bin, dry and wash the mop, and then empty its mop pad. This makes upkeep easy and helps the S1 Pro to spend more time cleaning floors according to a routine schedule. You can control all of its functions using the Eufy app, which provides an easy overview and lots of configurability.
5. Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum/mower is one of the best mowers and vacuums that are available. It provides impressive vacuuming and mopping results. The LIDAR mapping sensors can detect furniture legs, obstacles and other obstacles with decent precision. The app lets users fine-tune the coverage of the map, create no-go zones, and even customize cleaning preferences. The Freo's main roller brush is also designed to stop hair from wrapping around it, which is a major issue with many robotic vacuums.
The Mop Mode is impressive too it comes with Reuleaux triangular mop pads that spin at 180 RPM and apply up to 12N of downward pressure. The mopping system is also equipped with smart carpet detection, lifting the pads up when they're near soft surfaces, preventing them from contaminating them.
The docking station acts as an unmanned maintenance center that automatically washes and dries the mops, then refills them with detergent and distillate water. The base station also comes with integrated dust processing that compacts dust over 7 weeks of hassle-free operation unlike conventional robot vacuums that empty their dust bins each time they have to be empty.
6. S10
This robot is just a few hundred dollars more expensive than the S8 and does an excellent job of keeping my home office clean. It is also able to reach into the corners of my small apartment. It uses a laser mapping camera and laser to create a 3D map of your home so it can know what to stay clear of. In addition, unlike other vacuums with mopping capabilities it detects objects and obstructions that avoids items such as bowls for dogs and dog toys (but not poop).
It also comes with other highlights, such as the self-emptying dust bin, a mop pad that's self-washing and adjustable for water temperature and a side-reaching sweeper brush that can get to places that other mops can't reach. You can also set cleaning schedules within the app and adjust the settings for each room of your home.
It comes with the same multi-room smart mapping as the S8 and can differentiate between carpets and laminate with high-pile rug. If you're looking to save time, it can skip mopping in rooms that aren't dirty. If you have a wide range of flooring in your home and don't wish to spend more money on a Roborock that comes with advanced mapping features, this is a great option.
7. Q5 Pro
This robot is a great option when you're looking for a versatile robot that can handle regular maintenance on a daily basis and touch-ups to wet messes. It comes with a wide range of features such as a self-emptying dustbin, a separate dock to refill water, and customizable settings via the app. It's quite quiet and can maneuver around furniture legs and socks with ease. It can't pick knots in the rug, and its battery drains faster than other models we've tested.
With a cost of less than $250 it's the Q5 Pro is a bargain-friendly device that packs powerful suction and a handy automation into a slick design. It didn't perform as well in our vacuuming and mopping tests as the much expensive Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra, but it still performed very well overall. It comes with a variety of cleaning options, ranging from the low power 'Quiet mode for light debris to the incredibly powerful "Turbo mode" for carpeted areas. It can even remove and reconnect the mop pads, and not leave your carpets wet.
8. K10 Plus
The K10 Plus is a great two-in-one robot vacuum and mop for people who live in small areas. It is very silent and fast and it is able to navigate tight spaces well. It is also very good at removing pet hair off carpeting.
It's smaller than its rivals however it doesn't sacrifice any features. It has a decent amount of suction power and it can be configured to take a photo of each object it picks up (i.e., chew toys, socks) and mark them as 'not found' in the app so that they don't get removed during subsequent cleanings. Its photos are encrypted and not tied to your account.
It's great for vacuuming, but not so well in mopping.
robot vacuum cleaners makes use of disposable wet wipes that you clip onto the bottom of the bot and it essentially drags them around the floor. Compare this to the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra and Narwhal models, which come with water reservoirs that automatically wash and reattach their mopheads.
