Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that vacuum and clean provide the convenience of cleaning dry and wet messes in one session without the need to switch devices. They also can save space in comparison to two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot will offer excellent navigation and obstacles avoidance. Look for models that automatically empty their bins and fill up their water tank, and wash their mopping pads from the dock that is specifically designed for them.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It's among the easiest robots to set up that we've tested. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and the quick-start guide will get you up and running with a clean and complete dust bag, hard floor solution and water tank in no time.
The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can vacuum and mop well.
affordable robot vacuum spin at high speeds and can apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, which makes short work of dirt, pet hair, and dried sticky spills. The vacuum cleaner comes with four power settings, a range of brushes and attachments as well as an intuitive app that lets you choose the type of cleaning you'd like for each room.
You could, for instance request the robot to clean the kitchen and living room thoroughly, but leave the spare bedroom alone. The S1 Pro's front collision sensors and smart navigation tech are also excellent and the robot is capable of detecting small obstacles that other models have difficulty overcoming. The only problem is that it is known to smash into walls and objects at a high speed. However an inspection of the history of cleaning on the app will show you exactly what the robot done, where it is traveling, and what obstacles he has run into or avoided.
A convenient LCD screen on the docking station tells you when maintenance tasks must be completed like emptying the debris tray, and cleaning the dirty water tank. It can also mix detergent automatically into the water tank, by using a 600ml bottle filled with Eufy's own solution.
Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop are able to run for a long time, with the mop capable of operating for 184 minutes in Quiet mode, while the vacuum is can last for 136 minutes in normal mode, before having to recharge or return to the base to replenish. The app is easy to use and intuitive that lets you see all the details of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the most recent version of the company's most popular robot mop and vacuum. Unlike last year's model, this one features an agitator that doubles in its mopping pad, which greatly improves carpet cleaning capabilities. The S8 Pro Ultra also has improved suction power, allowing it to remove small hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners could overlook.
Like the other two Roborock models I've tested, this one has reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology to help it avoid walls, furniture and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things a step further by incorporating a dual camera that can detect objects and decide whether they're a wall or another type of surface. It then can alter its path automatically and clean the objects without stumbling.
It's the most expensive model I've tried, but it also has the most features. Its sleek and angular design is eye catching, and it only has three physical buttons. The power button, which resumes the cleaning mop function, a button for cleaning that doubles as a child-lock and a home button to send the robot to its dock. The hinged lid opens to reveal a 350ml dustbin as well as a 200ml tank of water. The water tank will empty itself, and the bin is auto-filling.
The only issue I encountered with this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount is not removable. While you can swap out the mopping cloth (if it's required) but it's a challenge to remove the mount for manual washing. I've noticed that any carpet that the robot touches will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on the mounts, which can cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart capabilities which include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. The Roborock app lets you manage and set up these features. It also includes maps and advanced mopping options. The app also allows you to schedule cleanings and monitor the life of batteries and maintenance on components. But you'll need to jump through a few hurdles to enable voice control on this model which is unfortunate considering how well it performs otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is an industry leader with cutting-edge features, high suction power, and advanced mowing abilities. Its innovative design lets you to personalize and efficiently clean while reducing time.
The X40 is the first robot vacuum cleaner to deliver 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which makes it one of the most effective options available. This powerful vacuum can clean up pet hair, crumbs and other dry messes. It comes with a mop that is high quality that cleans hard floors without the need for pads. The X40 is also very quiet in operation with only occasional bursts during mode changes or self-maintenance.
Another notable feature is the X40's extendable and liftable side brushes, which allows it to get into difficult-to-access corners and clean curved furniture like table and chairs' legs. It also allows the robot to access furniture with a low profile which makes it a great option for smaller apartments and condos with limited space. The side brush automatically swivels downwards when it detects wet spots. This is a nice touch that assists the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors by repeated back-andforth movements.
Unlike some other robots that only focus on one task, the X40 can perform mopping and vacuuming simultaneously or in a series. It can also be programmed to eliminate areas with carpets and mop only hard floors, and reverse the process. It can be controlled via the Dreame app or with Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for a seamless voice-controlled operation.
The app is simple and easy to use, and the X40's smart features are easy to install. Users can program the X40 for cleaning at specific times. They can also adjust suction power, alter modes, view maps and floor plans, and manage mopping setting. The X40 will also keep track of its progress, and alert you when it's finished.
robot vacuum cleaners is easy-to-maintain and offers numerous convenient features, making it an ideal option for busy families. Its docking station automatically empties the dustbin into a large 3.2 L bin, cleans the mop pads, and refills them with fresh water and cleaning solution. It can also tell when the mop pad is full and notify you before it gets overflowing, reducing the requirement for manual maintenance.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that's among the most expensive available and comes with a lot of extra features that distinguish it from. Smart DuoScrub, a new feature in its mops, uses two mop heads that are high-speed to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a suction force of 7,000Pa. This is much higher than that of the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni, and it can vacuum up pet hair and other small dirt particles in addition to removing spills and wet spots.
The mops are cleaned and dried at the base station each time they are used. This is a great feature because it prevents the growth of mould and unpleasant odours in storage, and it also makes mop systems more efficient. This is a system we haven't yet seen on other robot vacuum and mop models and could be a great way of keeping your home hygienic for longer.
There's an impressive amount of options available which include the ability to schedule cleaning times and alter a variety of preferences. The app allows you to set these preferences or you can make use of the buttons on the device itself. The app is easy to use and provides a number of options for customizing your cleaning routine. It also comes with many features that aren't offered on other robots, for instance the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction when it detects any dust particles.
The L20 Ultra is also one of the most fashionable robots we've seen on market, sporting metallic and white colors that is elegant and stylish. It's a bit heavier than the other two-in-one robots in this list, at 4kg but it's not too heavy, and it feels sturdy and well-built. The mopping system is also well designed and the double-rotating mop is a great choice for hard floors or in corners. They can even reach down to 2mm of baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice addition.
