1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro

Eufy's gunmetal and gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuums and mop combinations on the market. It makes use of lidar to navigate and create maps of floors and rooms (even multiple levels) and integrates with the free Eufy Clean app that lets you set up schedules and modify the S1's behaviour.

When I tested the S1 It was quick to map the downstairs area, which has laminate flooring in the kitchen, dining room and bathrooms, plus carpeting with a medium-pile and an area rug. It was able to drive close to walls without hitting them and even managed to traverse raised room thresholds with no problem, although it sometimes struggled to get down stairs in a single pass. The S1 also did an excellent job of cleaning hard floors by dragging its mop effortlessly on its flat side against the floor and lifting itself when it reached carpet or rugs.

Before each mopping session, the docking station on the S1 automatically empties its dustbin and fills up its water tank onboard with clean filtered ozonated water. The dock also includes a cleaning solution in the water to ensure deep cleaning. The S1 water tank can hold enough for 12 mopping sessions, however this will vary dependent on how often you use the mop.

Like all 2-in-1 robots the S1 requires regular maintenance to ensure that it's operating efficiently. You'll need to wash out the dirty tank to keep it from becoming blocked. You will also need to clean your sensor and swivel wheel frequently to avoid them becoming blocked by dust or dirt. But, overall the S1 is easy to maintain, especially when compared to other models which require more effort to maintain.

2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete

Ecovacs all-in-one robotic vacuum and mop is an effective solution for your cleaning requirements. Its robot vacuum boasts 8700Pa of suction and comes with many innovative features, such as full home mapping, voice control, and smart path-planning to avoid obstacles and cleans around furniture. Mopping capabilities are excellent and include a pair of mop heads that lift and scrub the floor instead of simply moving the pad across it. The mops are also cleaned using heated water and dried in the base station whenever required. Mops are also refilled from the top of the base station when required.

3. Dreame X40 ultra

Dreame's X30 Ultra robot vacuum and mop was launched earlier this year. But their latest flagship model has even more impressive features. It has fantastic cleaning results and is simple to maintain. This makes it a top contender on our list of the best mops and robot vacuums. Its superior mapping abilities, RGB AI smart detection and a larger side brush will ensure a thorough, customized clean is achieved.

The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming, picking up large and small particles from both hard floors and carpets. It cleaned the dirtiest places of our tests with ease by avoiding pet hairs as well as other mess. The mops are also quite impressive, with 2700Pa of power to tackle dirt, dust, and pet hair on both carpets and hard floors. The Q5 is among the few robots we tested that didn't have any problems with carpets with high piles or area carpets, but it didn't pick up cat litter or cable tangles and cable tangles, which isn't a surprise given that it doesn't have AI-powered obstacle avoidance.
