The Korea Football Association (KFA) holds an emergency executive meeting to decide on coach Jürgen Klinsmann's future. Considering public opinion, which is heading towards the worst, it appears to be speeding up.

KFA announced on the evening of the 15th, “We will hold an executive meeting related to the national soccer team issue at 10 a.m. on the 16th at the soccer center in Jongno-gu, Seoul.” “Korea Football Association President Chung Mong-gyu and other key personnel will attend the executive meeting,” the KFA announced on the evening of the 15th.

It is expected that the KFA Strengthening Committee's recommendation to dismiss coach Klinsmann will be addressed.

On this day, KFA held the first Power Strengthening Committee of 2024 at the Football Center and reached a consensus on the dismissal of national team coach Jurgen Klinsmann.

After completing the Strengthening Committee, Technology Division Director Hwang Bo-gwan said, “The committee decided that Coach Klinsmann was no longer able to demonstrate leadership as the national team coach, and agreed that a replacement was necessary. “I will report the results of today’s meeting to KFA,” he said.

Director Hwang Bo said, “The committee members noted that Jordan, the opponent in the semifinals, lacked tactical preparation even though it was the second opponent they faced after the group stage, and that the coach lacked the will to personally look at and discover various players in relation to player selection during his tenure. He explained, “The manager’s shortcomings included the fact that work attitude should no longer be an issue in soccer, which has great national interest.”

With this executive meeting, Chairman Chung Mong-gyu will appear in public for the first time since the failure of the Asian Cup.

Chairman Chung disappeared after watching the Asian Cup quarterfinals and finals in Qatar. He also announced his absence from the executive meeting scheduled for the 13th and did not appear.

Even when criticism poured in against the national team and Coach Klinsmann, he did not come to the forefront, but it seems that an emergency meeting was convened along with the decision of the power strengthening committee.

The Football Association added, “This executive meeting will be held privately, and the announcement of the results has not been decided.” 스포츠토토
