It's still a great choice, though, and offers the possibility of customization for those who want to get the most of its capabilities.

The four-stage cleaning system combines sweeps, lifts, and vacuums to remove debris from floors and carpets. The dust bin automatically emptys itself so you don't have to worry about it being emptying frequently.

The app also lets you to mark off areas of the space which you want the device to avoid like pets toys or power cords. This feature is typical of robotic vacuums. It's helpful when certain areas of your home need more attention.


You can set the K10 Plus to return to its base station every 60, 75 or 90 minutes to automatically empty its dust bin. This is an enormous improvement over other robots that must be returned regularly and manually empty to save time.

In my tests, I found that the K10 Plus' battery life was excellent. It lasted for 110 minutes on one run that's more than the iRobot Roomba Combo Essential's 127 minutes.
