Best Robot Vacuum Cleaner and Mop
If you're looking to tidy up messes quickly, a robot vacuum cleaner and mop is the way to go. The best robot vacs and mops in my tests come with top-quality mapping and navigation, picking up Cheerios wires, tangled wires and fake dog turds with out leaving them behind.
You can also schedule cleaning tasks through an app and monitor their progress.
1. Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra
If you're looking for the top robot vacuum and mop with bleeding-edge features, look no further than the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. This premium vacuum is quick and agile and was able to pick up pet hair and human dander almost perfectly in our Debris Pickup Test. It also has a smart-looking interface that includes a mini map of your house and a few buttons on the screen for manual control.
Another standout feature is the S8's ability to alter its cleaning mode based on the amount of dirt it encounters thanks to its Dirt Detection technology. It will stop and clean its mopping pad more frequently when it encounters dust while prioritizing carpeted areas to be mopped with a damp pad.
The mop roller has many other smart features, including a dock that connects to your home's plumbing system to wash and clean it without needing to refill the mop. With the built-in voice assistant on the S8 you can make use of voice commands to control rooms cleaning options and granular control using only your voice.
2. Yeedi Cube
If you're looking to buy a hands-free robot vacuum that can mop the Yeedi Cube is one of the more versatile choices. It's part of a plethora of robot vacuums with combo features with mops, but is priced at a lower cost than the majority of competitors.
Like all robovacs, the Yeedi Cube requires a little bit of work in order to begin, which includes setting up an account on the official app of the manufacturer and connecting it to your WiFi network. After that, however, the robot can start mopping and vacuuming with ease.
It is important to remember that the mapping process could take a while and the Yeedi Cube may need a few tries before it gets an accurate image of your room. The object detection is hit-and-miss. It was able to maneuver around furniture and other obstacles but got stuck on a looser rug with tassels and needed to turn to free itself. These are minor flaws and the Yeedi Cube remains a great choice for those in need of an appliance that can do everything.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
The Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete offers a three-in-1 home cleaning solution. Its advanced mopping features an alternating motion that's similar to hand scrubbing. This results in floors being cleaned, not just cleaned. The detachable stick vacuum is a game changer that enables you to reach areas that a robotic vacuum can't.
This model is essentially identical to the popular X2 Omni but with a slightly increased suction power of 8,700Pa as well as a few additional smart features. The RGBD sensor upgrade can learn your home's environment and provide an adaptive obstacle avoidance. The smart app lets you customize various settings such as scheduling, AI cleanings, and setting virtual boundaries.
The X2 Combo is also self-prepping, with both the robot vacuum and the mop returning to their charging base after each task to clean their pads, empty their dust bins, and put the waste in the self-sealing bags. This helps keep the system clean and also prevents allergens from recirculating. The battery life is long enough to clean large areas without needing an additional charge during cleaning.
4. Eufy S1 Pro
The Eufy S1 Pro is a top-quality robot vacuum and mop that comes with impressive features at a reasonable price. It is equipped with a powerful 8,000 Pa suction power and a rotating brush that is ideal for hard floors and carpets and a great obstacle avoidance. It also features a unique mopping method, that uses a roller that is continuously dosed with water to pick dirt and then deposit it in the water that is dirty tank.
Its navigation system performed well. It stayed clear of steps and walked close to walls without crashing. It was unable to handle fine particles and didn't always clear the raised thresholds in rooms. Its operating sound level is also quite high, so this model might not be as simple to set and forget as other models.
Like most robotic vacuums and mops the S1 Pro comes with a docking station that lets you replenish its clean water as well as empty its dustbin and mop pad, and wash and dry its mop. This makes maintenance simple and allows the S1 Pro to spend more time cleaning floors on an ongoing basis. Eufy's app allows you to manage all the functions. It provides an easy overview and a variety of configuration options.
5. Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is one of the top robot vacuums/mowers available, and offers amazing mixed vacuuming and mopping performance. The LIDAR sensors for mapping can identify furniture legs, obstacles and other obstacles with decent accuracy. The app lets users fine-tune the coverage of the map, establish no-go zones, or alter the cleaning preferences. The main roller brush is also engineered to prevent hair from wrapping around it, which could be a major issue with many robotic vacuums.
The Mop Mode is impressive too, with Reuleaux triangular mop pads that spin at 180 RPM and can apply up to 12N of downward pressure. The mopping system is also equipped with intelligent carpet detection, lifting the pads up when they're close to soft surfaces, preventing them from contaminating the carpet.
The docking station functions as a hands-free maintenance centre that automatically washes and dry the mops, then refills them with detergent and distillate water.
More Material comes with integrated dust processing that compacts dust for 7 weeks of hassle-free operation unlike conventional robot vacuums that empty their dust bins every time they need to be empty.
6. S10
This robot is only a few hundred dollars more expensive than the S8 and does a great job of keeping my office tidy. It can also reach the corners of my small apartment. It uses laser mapping system and camera to create a 3D model of your home so it can know what to stay clear of. It also has a detector for objects and obstructions that will stay clear of things like toys and dog bowls (but not Poop) unlike most vacuums.
It has other great standout features, including the self-emptying dust bin and a mop pad that's self-washing and adjustable for water temperature and a side-reaching brush that can get to places that other mops don't. You can also adjust the settings for each room and create cleaning schedules.
It features the same multi-room smart mapping that is found in the S8 and is able to distinguish between laminate and carpets, with high-pile carpets. It can also skip cleaning rooms that aren't filthy if you're trying to save time. It's an excellent option when you have a mix of flooring in your home and do not want to invest the extra money on a Roborock with advanced mapping features.
7. Q5 Pro
This robot is a great choice if you are looking for a robot that can do both regular maintenance as well as touch-ups to wet messes. It comes with a wide range of features, including a self emptying dustbin and a separate dock for refilling water, and customizable settings via the app. It's quite quiet and can navigate between furniture legs and socks with ease. It can't pick knots in the rug, and its battery drains more quickly than other models we test.
The Q5 Pro, with a price of less than $250, is a powerful unit that offers an impressive suction and easy automation in a sleek. It didn't perform as well in our mopping and mopping tests like the pricier Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra however, it did extremely well overall. It comes with a variety of cleaning options, ranging from the quiet mode with low power for light debris to the more powerful 'Turbo mode' for carpeted areas. It even has the ability to automate the removal and reattachment of mop pads without causing your carpets wet.
8.
Going On this page Plus
The K10 Plus is an excellent robot mop and vacuum cleaner that can be used even in small areas. It's extremely quiet and speedy and is a great choice for getting around tight spots. It is also very good in removing pet hair from carpeting.
It's smaller than many of its competitors however it doesn't sacrifice any features. It has a decent amount of suction power and it can be configured to take photos of every object it picks up (i.e., chew toys, socks) and mark them as 'not found' in the app so that they don't get taken up in subsequent cleanings. Its photos are encrypted and not tied to your account.
It is capable of vaccuming, but it isn't as effective at mopping. It makes use of disposable wet wipes that are clipped onto the bottom of the bot, and it basically drags them around your floor. Compare this with the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra and Narwhal models, which have water reservoirs and automatically wash and reattach their mopheads.
