The Band Toto Asia

Toto was expanding its production facilities overseas, and doing business in France and Germany, Indonesia, Korea and Taiwan, Thailand and the People's Republic of China. North America was seen as an area of growth for Washlet toilets and bidet seats, in contrast to its "base" markets in Japan and China.

Dhaniram Toto documented Toto words to ensure that the future generation could be able to read the words. However, many words were being replaced with foreign ones, such as dui from Bengali for verandah.

Origins

The company was founded in 1917 and its early years mirrored Japan's economic growth. In the first half of 1917, Toto manufactured products to meet the growing demand for modern, new urban housing. It had the first tunnel kilns in the country to produce ceramics continuously. It also pioneered the use of automation for production control, allowing greater efficiency and consistency.

The company began expanding overseas in the latter part of the 1980s to benefit from new markets and sales opportunities. The company created the Cera Trading Company to import and sell other products of other manufacturers to expand its line of sanitary earthenwares and plumbing fittings. This strategy helped increase sales and expand the company's market share in the world.

In the 1990s, Toto had shifted its emphasis on research and development of water-related household appliances. It also upgraded its system of distribution to better serve its customers and improve profit. The company embraced a just-in time method of managing supply chains and applied the same methodology for its sales process. This resulted in a greater level of satisfaction with the customer.

Toto continues to invent on the toilet technology. The most recent toilet features a powerful, environmentally-friendly tornado flush. Toto also makes use of recycled water in its production process and has a green procurement policy. Apart from toilets, Toto manufactures faucets and bathtubs, as well as hand dryers that are more efficient in energy use than standard models.

The first Toto museum opened in the year 2015. It hosts exhibits on Toto’s seminal products as well as their evolution, group companies (all of which are made of ceramics) as well as the history of plumbing, and even bath units. In another gallery, visitors will find Toto products that are sold across the world. The museum also includes a bathroom with a WASHLET toilet and other toilet-related innovations.

Before the formation of Toto members of the group did sessions for a variety of musicians. Keyboardist David Paich, drummer Jeff Porcaro, and guitarists Mike Porcaro and Steve Lukather all performed on the album Silk Degrees by Boz Scaggs. They also appeared on records by Steely Don, Seals and Crofts and Sonny and Cher.

Discography

It is common for a group with a name such as Asia to be a prog band, but it is actually a relatively straightforward rock group. The group started out as a quartet and recorded two albums - 1979's self titled debut, and 1980's Armed to the Teeth. However, even though the group have a wide range of musical backgrounds, their biggest success was achieved in 1982 with Toto IV.

The album was a major blockbuster, but it was not without its issues. Record companies placed the band on the spot with the ultimatum "give us an album that's a smash or we'll take you off the market" and the pressure was on them to meet the deadline. Toto was able to achieve this through the aid of the hit song "Africa."

Toto's musical mastery owes a lot to their previous experiences since the members were session musicians for artists such as Boz Scaggs, Steely Dan, and Seals and Crofts before starting the group. Their sonic trademark has become the standard for 1980s music, and has inspired a lot of contemporary artists.

The album begins hard with songs such as Running Out of Time or Unknown Soldier that show the band's ability to create great AOR tunes that slowly creep into your head. But the album also contains some slower, more jazzy tracks such as The Little Things and Chinatown. The album concludes with Great Expectations. This song mixes folk and distortion AOR that could appear completely unnatural, but actually is very effective.

After Toto IV The band's fortunes turned towards the negative. David Hungate left to concentrate on his solo career and the band was through various drummers. In 토토사이트 모음 , Bobby Kimball was fired from the band in the after he was charged with drug abuse. the group continued to perform as a trio with Michael Porcaro and Steve Lukather.

Despite the turbulence, Toto forged ahead and released Isolation that was not as successful as IV. However, the band still was able to release a chart-topping album in the year 1992 with Kingdom of Desire. This album marked the end of the original Toto lineup and was also the first to feature the new singer, Simon Phillips.

Line-up

Turn Back, the band's third studio album, was an attempt to return to the traditional sextet style and an even more consistent and powerful effort that had a more grittier edge. The edgier sound of Turn Back reflected the maturation in the group. The drummer Bobby Kimball's increasing proficiency was evident in the vocals of Joseph Williams, who had become more confident and mature. David Paich's work was more precise, sharper and less cloned on previous performances.

After touring to promote the album, the group recorded a live show in Amsterdam that was released as a set of two CDs called Falling In Between Live on Eagle Records. The group released a new studio album a few months later, and went on a world tour to support the album. In this time, keyboardist Greg Phillinganes replaced Paich and bassist David Hungate quit the group to spend time with his family.

In 1998, Paich and Lukather started searching through old demo tapes and tapes to make a new record featuring songs that were never recorded before. The album was released in 2001 and released as a double album titled Then and Now. It was the first album in the band's history that did not include any single song that had the word "A" in its title. It also included one previously not released track, "Kari-Anne".

By 2003, Toto had begun to decline in popularity. The group's fourth record, Old Is New was not a commercial success and vocalist Williams was suffering from laryngitis that limited his singing ability. Hungate also returned to Nashville and Leland Sklar's drumming duties were replaced by Shem Von Schroeck.

Downes and the other members of Asia--Wetton, Palmer, and Howe--convened a meeting in England in the early part of 2006 to discuss the possibility of officially reforming the band. The lineup, with the exception of Howe who was working with Yes during that time, was renamed Toto XIV. They toured extensively.

In 2010, the band reunited for another reunion tour with a slightly different line-up, including guitarists Mike Porcaro and Steve Lukather, drummer John Pierce, bassist Shannon Forrest, and multi-instrumentalists Warren Ham and Dominique Taplin. The group also featured a special guest appearance from singer Michael McDonald and a backing vocalist named Mabvuto Carver.
