The origins of reflexology can be traced back to earlier times. According to one version of events, reflexology was created by an Chinese doctor around 500 years ago. He is said to have "instructed his patients" on how to improve their health and also where their energy points were using the ten fingers. Today, reflexology continues to be used as an alternative medicine practice in a few countries, though its original intention has been lost in the process. In Malaysia there are over fifty licensed practitioners in the area of Reflexology in addition to the many others across the country who also offer Reflexology therapy.
