The correct answer is Gwangju Jeil High School, which is challenging to win the Golden Lion for the first time in six years since 2018 and for the seventh time in total .

As of the 12th, a total of 119 Gwangju Jeil High School graduates have played at least once in a first-team professional baseball game.

The 78th Golden Lion National High School Baseball Championship and Weekend League King of Kings Tournament began on the 14th.

However, Gwangju Jeil High School, which passed the first round by default, will not play its first game of the tournament until the 20th.

After Gwangju Jeil High School, Gyeongnam High School, the 2022 Golden Lion Champion, is in second place with 117 students.

Next, Busan High School , the ‘defending champion’ of the Golden Lion , is in third place with 107 students. Shinil High

School, which continues to hold the record for the most Golden Lions wins (8 times), is in 4th place with 103 students. Gyeongbuk High School, which boasts the record for the most wins (22 times) in the four major high school baseball tournaments (Golden Lion, Blue Dragon, President's Cup, and Phoenix Cup), also produced over 100 first-team players (102).

Among the players registered in 1982, the first year of professional baseball, Gyeongbuk High School alumni accounted for the largest number (15).

Gyeongbuk High School held the title as the high school producing the most professional baseball players for 39 years until 2010.

Then, Gwangju Jeil High School took the lead in 2011 and has remained in first place to this day.

However, after 2021, Gyeongnam High School (21 students) , currently in second place, is producing first-team players faster than Gwangju Jeil High School (12 students), so first place may soon change.

To date, there are a total of 98 Korean high schools that have produced at least one first-team alumni player.

Jin Woo-young (23, LG) took the mound in the Gwangju visit on the 9th of last month, becoming the 98th Global Advanced School

to produce a first-team player. Among these 98 high schools, Beolgyo Jeil High School (now Beolgyo Commercial High School) and Bucheon Technical High School have had alumni play for the first team even though they have never operated a baseball team.

Lee Jong-seok (32, former KIA), a graduate of Beolgyo Jeil High School, quit baseball before graduating from middle school and started playing baseball again at Sehan University.

And Han Seon-tae (30, former LG), who became the first player in professional baseball history to be nominated as a rookie without having any experience as an elementary, middle, or high school player, is a Bucheon Technical High School graduate. 고스톱
