Kim Hyo-joo tied for 4th place in the second round of the LPGA Tour Ford Championship (total prize money of $2.25 million).

Kim Hyo-joo hit 5 under par 67 with 7 birdies and 2 bogeys in the second round of the second day of the tournament held at the Seville Golf and Country Club (par 72, 6,734 yards) in Gilbert, Arizona, USA on the 30th (Korean time).

Kim Hyo-joo, who recorded a total of 12 under par and 132 strokes over the two days, reached the turning point of the tournament by tying for 4th place with Asaara Muñoz (Spain).

Hannah Green (Australia), who reduced 11 strokes on this day, took the sole lead with 14 under par and 130 strokes.

Kim Hyo-joo is two strokes behind the leader, and Sarah Schmelzel (USA) and Jen Bei-win (Taiwan), tied for second place with 13 under par and 131 strokes, are one stroke behind the green.

Korean players have not won any of the six competitions since the start of this season.

This year marks the first time in 10 years since 2014 that Korean players have not won six competitions since the season opened.

Kim Hyo-joo missed the fairway only once in the first and second rounds, and showed stability on the green by blocking 26 putts in the first round and 27 in the second round.

World No. 1 Nellie Corda (USA) tied for 10th place with 10 under par and 134 strokes. Lim Jin-hee, Kim Se-young, and Shin Ji-eun were also tied for 10th place.

Korean player Jennifer Song (USA) recorded a hole-in-one with an 8-iron in the 160-yard 14th hole (par 3).

However, Jennifer Song missed the cut by 1 stroke with 4 under par 140 strokes and a tie for 76th place.
