Chinese fans flock to Hangzhou for Golden Week, with bookings up fivefold

Chinese sports fans are flocking to Hangzhou, 스포츠토토맨  home of the Asian Games, ahead of the Golden Week holiday.

The Hangzhou Asian Games will kick off with the official opening ceremony on Sept. 23 and run through Oct. 9. It will be the first Asian Games to be held on Chinese soil in 13 years since the 2010 Guangzhou Games.

As the excitement builds, Chinese fans are preparing to travel to the host city of Hangzhou to watch Asia's premier sporting event on home soil.

Travel demand is especially high in China as the country awaits golden holidays such as the Mid-Autumn Festival on Sept. 29 and National Day from Oct. 1 to 6.

The Hangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee said on Sept. 21, "According to a survey by the Hangzhou municipal government, 토토사이트  Hangzhou is the No. 1 city for Chinese visitors during the Golden Week, surpassing Shanghai and Beijing."

"Chinese bookings for domestic flights to Hangzhou, as well as accommodation and restaurants around the Games, have surged fivefold year-on-year," it said.

A light show takes place over the Olympic Sports Center Stadium and city center buildings where the opening ceremony will be held on Sept. 19, four days before the start of the Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games. 

The arrival of Chinese fans on the back of the Golden Week holiday is expected to have a positive impact on ticket sales.

"Tickets for popular sports such as swimming, 스포츠토토  diving, table tennis and badminton, where China is traditionally strong, are already sold out," said the organizing committee, adding, "Hangzhou will be even hotter with the support of home fans."

"I will use the holiday to watch the Asian Games with my family and experience the unique culture of the Hangzhou area," said a tourist from Beijing.

"More than 20 million people, both domestic and foreign, are expected to visit Hangzhou during the three weeks of the Games," the organizing committee said. 고스톱
