Goethe-Zertifikat A1 (Start German 1) Exam Schedule
The official list below only shows reserved time periods, not confirmed exams. Please check with your instructor whether or not a course has its final exam during this time.

Locations
The Exam Schedule lists the locations where DEP conducts operator qualification tests. Please refer to the individual exam pages for additional information regarding exam topics, exam conditions and conditions, and additional guidelines. If

The Faculty Dashboard in Workday includes the option of "View My Teaching Schedule", which allows faculty to locate their exam schedules. In addition the Registrar's Office has a list of exam times for courses where an exam is required by NYSED regulations. For evening classes exams, they are scheduled during the regular class time during the exam week.
Please note that the Projected University Examination Schedule is intended as a rough guideline and that final exam dates are subject to change.
Registration
Students are encouraged to look up the exam schedule online. However, it is important to keep in mind that the final exam schedule may change at any time. Students should therefore inquire with their instructors to confirm the correct time and date of their test. Students should also make sure to print the official list and bring it with them to their exam.
Students should also be familiar with the rules and conditions of the exam in addition to the schedule. These are available on the individual exam page. Upon registration, students acknowledge that they accept these conditions and terms.
Exam sites try their best to accommodate those with special requirements. The nature and extent of these requirements should be noted on the registration and confirmed by a physician's attestation. The locations for the exam must be able to respect confidentiality and keep it.
If a student is scheduled to take three exams scheduled on the same day, it is recommended to contact their instructor or department to arrange an exam to make up. It is possible to have three exams on the same day. However, this can lead to a high level of stress and impact the quality. In addition, the professor may not be able to give a makeup exam on a different day.
Students must review the course material prior to taking the test and work on their German skills. The exam is a paper-based test that measures your ability to read and write, as well as speak German. The exam results are presented on a scale from A1 to C2. Students who succeed in passing the test are awarded a Goethe-Zertifikat. The certificate demonstrates the that they have achieved the level of A1 in their language. This level is the first level of the six-level scale of competence set out in the Common European Framework of Reference for Foreign Languages. The exam is free. Students are required to bring a valid government ID to the examination. Students who do not have a valid picture ID will be disqualified.
Fees

If you have completed your studies at Elan Academy and wish to receive an Goethe-Zertifikat A1 (start German 1), you will need to pay the exam fee. This is in addition to the course fee.
Practice tests allow you to get an understanding of the style, wording, and difficulty of the questions on the test. They help you evaluate your proficiency, identify gaps in knowledge and improve your chances of passing the exam.
Please note that the exam fee is non-refundable. Exam results can only be accessed via email and not by telephone.
