Best Value Bean to Cup Coffee Machines
This is the machine for those who want an entirely customizable, hands-free, one-press latte. Check out our Beem Espresso Grind Profession review to learn more about the machine.
Its swappable bean hoppers allow you to try different blends on the fly and its different profiles mean you can pick up exactly where you left beginning. It's also less expensive than capsule machines and makes use of real coffee beans rather than ground coffee beans that are pre-ground.
1. Smeg BCC02
This sleek, compact, and striking machine, designed by the Milan-based firm Deep Design combines the brand's retro style with cutting edge technology. It is able to handle every step of the coffee-making process - from grinding beans and shaping them into a puck to texturing milk and dispensing the correct amount of coffee - meaning you can create barista-quality hot drinks by pressing the button.
The machine also has an elegant brushed aluminium front and is available in red, black or taupe, so it's easy to integrate into most kitchen designs. There are some flaws, however: most reviewers found it a little expensive for a bean to cup maker (and it's not equipped with a milk pitcher).
But there were also numerous positive reviews of the quality of the coffee and the ease of use of this machine. The digital display is intuitive and provides step-by-step guidance and feedback throughout the coffee making process, helping you improve your coffee every time. It will even alert you to tweak the size of the grind if it's not exactly right. It's almost like having a personal barista in your own home (minus Harry Potter's invisibility cloak, and Elon Musk's rocket-building skills).
If you like milky drinks this model comes with a steam wand that's adjustable upwards and downwards to fit most drinking vessels short of the drinking horn of Vikings. We were impressed by the speed and effectiveness of the frothing process as well. It creates an amazing, full-flavoured espresso with a wonderful crema.
The BCC02 is a fantastic all-rounder. It's quiet and efficient, and provides excellent value for money at the current price of PS499. The only problem is that it does not provide the same level of customization as other bean-to-cup machines that we have tested. Its pump has 15 bars instead of the standard 19 bars. This is not enough for producing top-quality espressos. But other than that it's a fantastic machine to make coffee for those who prefer their coffee strong and black. 2. Melitta Barista TS Smart
The Barista TS Smart is a superb bean-to-cup machine that has numerous features that help it stand out from the competition. Its most distinctive feature is probably the fact that it is controlled from your smartphone via the Melitta Connect app. This lets you change settings and dispense different coffee recipes that are stored within the machine itself.
This makes the machine super flexible and adaptable to your tastes. There are plenty of options for varying the intensity of your drinks as well as various sizes of cups and even whether or not you wish to add milk. The machine also comes with two airtight bean containers that are automatically selected for different types of coffee. It defaults to standard espresso beans in one and cafe cream (a German variation of long black or flat white) in the other, but you can choose whatever beans you like. There is also a chute that can be used for pre-ground beans if you prefer to use your own.
Users have also said they are impressed by the speed of the machine. They have reported that it can make their drinks much faster than other machines they have used.
Coffeee UK alerts you if one of its hoppers is nearly empty. This way, you won't run out of your preferred beverage.
The only thing that may be a disadvantage for certain people is the price. This machine is not cheap, at nearly PS999. However, it's cheaper than comparable Jura machines with the same features.
Barista TS smart is covered by a two-year guarantee. This is more than the standard one-year warranty, which is a sign of confidence from the manufacturer. The machine comes with a cleaning tablet, and an descaler. This makes it simple to maintain the machine. This is a fantastic machine for those looking for a top-quality and versatile bean to cup machine that's priced at a reasonable price.
3. Jura GIGA 6
The Jura GIGA 6 is an amazing espresso machine that utilizes the power of artificial intelligence that can prepare the finest specialty coffees. It identifies what you like and rearranges its menus to help you pick your favorite beverages. It also allows you to choose your preferred grinding size as well as water temperature, the volume of coffee foam and milk. The clever cleaning, rinsing and sanitizing programmes are activated by pressing the button. This makes the maintenance of your coffee machine easier than ever before.
A unique feature of the Giga 6 is that it comes with two milk and coffee spouts, meaning it can make two coffee specialty drinks simultaneously. This is possible due to the dual heating and fluid systems inside the machine. Spouts can be adjusted for the width and height in order to accommodate different cups. Additionally, there's a spout for hot water which can be used to make tea or iced coffee.
Another great aspect of the Giga 6 is the ability to customize and duplicate your favorite coffees. This is especially useful if you like to have the same drink in the morning and evening. For instance, you could create an original flat white with regular beans and then a duplicate with decaf. You can also change the ingredients, such as the milk type or the amount of cocoa or sugar.
Both the Giga6 and Z10 offer a wide range of options for customization. To begin you can select from a variety of specialty drinks that are one-touch. In addition, you can customize the strength of your coffee, and select from 10 different levels of milk foam.
The GIGA 6 and Z10 have a 4.3 inch touchscreen display with full-color and rotary switch that makes it easy to navigate the various features of the machines. You can also connect the GIGA 6 to your smartphone via WiFi, which will allow you to download a range of apps that allow you to customize your favorite drinks at the comfort of your home. The only drawback to this machine is that some users have reported issues with the drip tray leaking. If you experience this problem then contact the customer support team immediately.
4. Nespresso Inissia
The Nespresso Inissia offers coffee and espresso lovers a simple and cost-effective method to make their favorite cafe drinks at home. Its high-pressure pump and patented extraction system ensure that every cup of coffee is delicious, rich and silky smooth. The Inissia has an enormous capacity water tank that is quick to heat up, allowing users to brew several cups of coffee without needing to refill it regularly.
The sleek and compact Inissia is among the most space-saving pods on the market, making it ideal for kitchens that have limited counter space. It is also easy to use, requiring only minimal effort needed to set up and operate the machine. When fully charged, the machine will make coffee in just 25 seconds. This is ideal for those looking to get instant caffeine.
The Inissia also comes with a range of premium coffee capsules that will fit any taste - from strong and intense to mild and aromatic. The machine is also energy efficient, shutting off after nine minutes of inactivity and using only low levels of electricity. Its flexible design also comes with a folding drip tray that can be used to hold taller recipe glasses as well as an empty capsule container that can hold up to 11 used capsules.
To make coffee, simply place the capsule into the machine and press one of two buttons to begin the making process. The Espresso button will pour out an espresso shot, while the Lungo will run a significant amount of water to create a lungo style coffee. You can pause the brewing process or stop it at any point. If you require more water or less you can alter its volume via the control panel.
The ease of cleaning offered by Inissia is another wonderful feature. Every day, run a cycle using water, without a capsule through the machine to remove any residue. It is recommended to cleanse the machine at least every three months to remove any calcium or lime deposits. To learn more about how to do this click here to view our video.
