The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that is equipped with smart mapping and app-based no go zones. Its running time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also self-empties and refills its water tank.

1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.
The Roomba J7+, IRobot's most intelligent robot to date, is the Roomba J7+. Its biggest innovation is a camera-based obstacle detection system that utilizes built-in AI to detect objects like charging cords, shoes, and the pet waste that most other robots can't avoid (and often slough through). It's the first robot to send you a picture of an object that it encounters, so you can instruct the robot to stay clear of it.
The Combo J7+ is the best robot to mop we've ever tested, removing spills and dirt effortlessly and leaving no trace that it was there. The iRobot app makes it easy to control. It can schedule cleanings, and also create Keep Out Zones so that it doesn't clean in areas that you don't would like. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start and stop it using voice.
Its design is also an improvement over the rest with a sleek top piece that appears more like a toy robotic than a loud, obnoxious one. And the Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System is self-emptying, which is great to reduce the time spent cleaning.
In our tests the j7+ was quick to remove dust dirt, pet hair and even pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in one place rather than sending it scattering across the floor. It was able to collect small pieces of gravel, sand, and even a tiny bit of grit. Most robots could not accomplish this feat. And all this without getting tangled up in our pet's shedding hair.
The j7+, although not as sophisticated as the Roomba S9, which costs $1,217and Self-Emptying Vacuum Robot from iRobot and isn't able to clean the stairs, is an option for those who require both a vacuum and a mop. It's not too expensive, and the iRobot app makes it very user-friendly.
While the iRobot Home app is very user-friendly however, we've found it to be less reliable than other apps that use robotic cleaners. It can take some time to download updates, and sometimes it's hard to determine whether the update actually working until you see it in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you're looking to purchase an automated vacuum cleaner that can do more than just clean floors, your best option is probably one that is a hybrid. This kind of robot usually includes a built-in water tank that allows them to mop and vacuum your home simultaneously. They also have a number of extra features, including smart mapping, small obstacles avoidance, and the ability to wash and dry mopping pads. The downside is that they tend to be expensive when purchased at full retail price, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they often drop in price.
Roborock is the manufacturer of some of our favorite robotic vacuums, and the Q5+ does not perform to the standards. This is their least expensive auto-empty model. While it lacks some of the premium features that are found on more expensive models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still a great option if you're willing compromise a bit in order to save hundreds of dollars.
The Q5+ is extremely gentle when it comes down to obstacles such as walls and table legs. This makes it a great option for homes with a lot of furniture. It's also very thorough in removing dust bunnies. This is a area where most robot vacuums of lower quality aren't able to meet. The Q5+'s navigation system is top-quality, with a few misses on walls and corners.
The Q5+, like other Roborock products, can be controlled by a few buttons on the device or through the Roborock App. The app lets you begin and stop cleanings and schedules, as well as create virtual barriers and no-go zones and modify your home map or change the labels of rooms.
If you opt for the Q5+, it ships with a new auto-empty dock, which was specifically designed to make the robot simple to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver, however, once it's in place it can be accomplished easily. It features a large LCD screen that is very useful for setting up schedules or adjusting settings. This isn't an essential feature for the majority of people however it can help you keep the track of the intervals between maintenance for your robot easily.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a smart well-rounded vacuum and mop. It's capable of both mopping and vacuuming. Its design and function are among the best on the market however, it's also expensive.
Its base station looks good and is easily hidden when not in use, and its size is quite compact. The station's most appealing feature is the way it automatizes many tasks and functions that other robots will leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which many other robots require you to do) also emptying the dustbin after vacuuming, and helps keep your robot fully charged and clean.
Its vacuuming performance is quite impressive as well. It's the few robot vacuums I've tested that do an excellent job of cleaning up debris from plain floors, and is not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot the 900 series.
However, the Freo X Ultra has its shortcomings, particularly in terms of navigation. Its laser sensors and LiDAR sensors aren’t as reliable as other robotvacs. This means that it can get stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms of the house. It's not able to navigate stairs as well as competitors, and doesn't come with a dock that allows the user to set up an exclusive cleaning zone for plush carpets.
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is an excellent choice for those who want an automated vacuum that can do everything.
If
robot floor cleaner looking to save some cash or don't want to think about the limitations of this robot there are many other options available, including a lot of eufy models that cost considerably less. The Eufy Qrevo curv, for instance is less expensive and has more features, including stairs and a fully-function Dock, that provides the ability to provide a more thorough vacuuming experience on bare floors carpets with low pile, and even high-pile carpets.
4. Eufy RoboVac G30
Eufy is an Anker company that has an established track record of making robot vacuums with the right combination of features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning power for hard and carpet floors, as well as mopping capabilities at a reasonable price. It's simple to set up, just snap one of the side brushes on, turn it on and plug in the charging dock. The app walks you through a few steps to connect to your Wi-Fi and then the G30 is ready to go. You'll need to place the dock close to an electrical outlet and enough space to allow it to move however.
The G30 is a compact device that measures 2.85 inches in height, meaning it is able to be tucked away under couches and low-clearance pieces of furniture. The design is less flashy than some of the rival models, with a sleek black finish and three physical buttons: Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge, and Spot Cleaning (which cleans the area in an arc for two minutes). It is also possible to connect the G30 with Amazon Alexa or Google Home to use voice commands to do unscheduled cleaning.
The main aspect that distinguishes the G30 apart from its competitors is the way it cleans. It uses an integrated map to draw a picture of the immovable items that are in its path. It remembers what it has already cleaned and where it cannot access. It then returns to the base to recharge and continues cleaning where it left off.
The eufy G30 has some flaws. The iRobot Roomba is more durable and has lower recurring costs. It is faster to charge, has the same battery life and is more effective on bare floors or low-pile carpet. It also has a larger dust bin that doesn't require to be empty as often and comes with a set of boundaries to ensure it isn't in certain areas. The G30 however, is more affordable and is much more manageable to maintain. Its smaller container means it doesn't have to be emptied as often and has less difficulty handling bulky products like cereal.
