The iRobot Home App is easy to use, however we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner apps. It can take a while to download updates, and sometimes it's difficult to know whether the update is working until you've seen it in action.

The Q5+ is extremely soft when it comes to obstacles such as walls and table legs. The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's astonishingly intelligent in its vacuuming and mopping capabilities. Its design and function are among the most advanced available - but it's also pricey.

It's a tiny base station that looks stunning and is able to be concealed when not in use. But the station's biggest selling factor is its ability to automate various tasks and functions that most other robots leave up to you. It can keep clean and dirty water, and then electrolyze and heat the water. Many other robots require you to perform this.

This means that it could get stuck or confused in certain corners or rooms in the home. It's also not able to climb stairs as well as other competitors and doesn't come with a dock to create a cleaning area for carpets that are soft.
