It didn't mop however, and its removable cleaning pads were fiddly to attach and could not deal with dirt that had dried on.

Its app is on the basic side and lacks features such as multiple cleaning modes and automated scheduling. It does work with Alexa, but its voice controls aren't precise or responsive. It's also a bit sporadic when it returns to the charging station after a run. Other robots can follow an obstruction or follow the previous route however the RX3 bumbles around until it quits.

Another issue we encountered was with its smart features, particularly the mapping function and the digital keep-out zones. It was great at keeping our furniture legs and shoes away but it was easily hung up on socks, cables, and carpets. We decided not to include the Scout RX3 on our Best Buy list. The Scout RX3 offers a good price and a dazzling performance. It's worth considering as an alternative to uprights that are traditionally used.
