Top Rated Robot Vacuums
A robot vacuum can keep floors clean enough to decrease the frequency with which you need to manually vacuum. Choose one that has excellent navigation, is able to sweep corners and stairs and also has a large dust bin that requires emptying only periodically.
You can also find models that mop and charge on their own, a feature that may be essential for those who have children or pets. Many of the top performers in our tests also have decent obstacle avoidance.
1. iRobot Roomba i3+ EVO
The i3+ EVO and its i3 EVO sibling the i3 EVO are both identical robots that differ only in that the i3+ has self-emptying capabilities. The i3+ is a great alternative for those who want a a fully automated, hands-off cleaning experience, but want to manually empty the dustbin of the robot when it is full.
Both robots are good in removing dirt and dust particles on hard floors and carpets and are able to move around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software creates intelligent maps of your home, which help the i3+ EVO to navigate and clean in a way that maximizes efficiency. The i3+ does not have the same obstacle avoidance capabilities as the i7+ or any other top-rated robots that we test. It could be stuck on power cords and socks and have trouble moving between different surfaces like carpet and hardwood.
iRobot suggests that you clear areas where the i3+ EVO will vacuum before you use it, and include clearing out any clutter or toys it might encounter. It's also a good idea to keep the bin and filter clean so that they do not become blocked by dirt. If the i3+ EVO's internal bin is filled or the battery is depleted it will return to its docking station, automatically empties its debris into the station's dust bin, and then continues cleaning where it started. The i3+ EVO's batteries last for approximately an hour and a half continuous use. It takes around three hours to recharge.
2. iRobot Roomba i7+
The iRobot i7+ is a top model from iRobot’s flagship line and comes with the most recent features. It's self-charging and self-navigating. But the most significant feature is the self-emptying bin. This will eliminate the need for regular maintenance.
The Roomba i7+ is able to remember up to 10 floor plans and their names with Imprint Smart Mapping, an application that lets it identify rooms to clean them more efficiently. It also integrates with iRobot Home to schedule cleaning tasks, and you can control your robot via the app or voice.
The i7+ is more efficient and more maneuverable in our tests than the eufy RoboVac G30. It also removed large pet hair pieces from any surface, including carpeting. The main advantage it has over the Eufy is its self-emptying garbage bin which eliminates the main sources of maintenance and lowers the cost of recurring maintenance.
We were also amazed by the i7+'s compatibility with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services which we used to instruct the robot to start, stop or pause its cleaning routines, move itself around the room, and even vacuum the area. Connecting the i7+ to these services was simple and easy with the iRobot Home app. After being connected, to give voice commands to the i7+ like "Hey Alexa vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home app also provides options to manage the i7+'s settings and monitoring its performance.
3. Dyson Cyclone V10
In a world full of vacuums that are cordless and are like minivans and buses, this small Dyson model is a sports car. It's powerful and has features to replace a stand-up vacuum for most households and can fit in well next to the table for a coffee or shelves where you can wave it around like the magic tool.

Its specialized cleaning head drives bristles of nylon that are stiff and deep into carpets to trap large dust and crumbs. It comes with three suction modes that can be adjusted to the task. It swiftly switches from handheld to floor vacuum and back again.
The model comes with a dock that can charge the Dyson to 100% within 3.5 hours. It also gives easy access to 2 attachments as well as an handheld. This is a major improvement over older Dysons that require a lengthy charge and are difficult to store.
The main issue with the V10 is its limited running time. As CR's tests have shown, its marketing claims of up to 60 minutes are a bit misleading. This is a common battery-powered cordless vacuum's running time. This is enough time to vacuum the typical home however, it's not enough time to reach every spot. (A second time is usually sufficient). However, this model doesn't have its advantages It's lighter and more maneuverable than older cordless Dysons, and its vacuuming performance is significantly superior on carpets with a low pile.
4. iRobot Roomba 694
One of the most well-known robot vacuums, the 694 is an affordable model that's a great choice for people who don't wish to spend too much on a robot. It could pick up most types of debris in our testing and often went over the same area multiple times to give an extensive clean. Its flat front side helps it reach into corners and along the edges of walls and walls, which is a nice feature.
Its navigation system is smart and uses iAdapt to avoid obstacles and navigate your home, but it lacks the mapping capabilities of more sophisticated models such as our top choices and the i3+ EVO and j7+ series. It may get stuck on phone cords or low furniture and will often run out of power before returning to its original location.

The Xiaomi Mi robot vacuum is superior to the Roomba 694 in most respects, as it has fewer components that require regular cleaning It also comes with an allergen-trapping HEPA filter, has lower costs for recurring maintenance, has more advanced automation capabilities and does a better job moving itself. It also has a bigger dustbin, and charges more quickly.
The eufy RoboVac X8 has a superior battery life than the Roomba 694. It also comes with physical boundaries and can be controlled by your smartphone's voice assistant. It's also more robust, has a larger motor, and performs better on floors with bare or low-pile.
5. Samsung Jet Bot AI+
Samsung is a well-known brand in home electronics. It's not surprising that they are also among the top producers of robot vacuums and mop.
best robot floor cleaner is equipped with cutting-edge onboard technology for navigation and obstacle avoidance.
robotic vacuum cleaner offers a variety of customization options for your robotic cleaner. These include mopping levels, virtual barriers and behavior modifications, docking frequency settings and more. The app is simple to navigate and use, just like other Samsung devices.
In our testing of the Jet Bot AI+ excelled on hard floors and handled dog hair (on carpet) quite well, cleaning up 86 percent of it. However, it wasn't particularly well with taller objects like cords and socks which was a disappointment. It's also more expensive than other models we've tested and this could be a deal breaker for some buyers.
The smart vacuum has an onboard camera that you can access through the app, and you can also set up a live streaming from the robot's cleaning station. This feature lets you check in on pets or kids when you're away from home. The dustbin and the filter can be cleaned for a quick, painless clean-up. The Jet Bot AI+ comes with an automatic clean station which helps keep the bin clean and maximizes suction power.
6. Black & Decker Robot Vacuum
Black and Decker robots have been designed specifically for flooring made of hard wood. They have a wider cleaning path and a larger dust bin that can hold 2X more debris than competitors to keep the cleaning area clean for the longest time. They also include two side sweepers to clean along edges and corners. The POWERSERIES Extreme model comes with AutoSense technology, which can tell if it's picking up dirt on surfaces or embedded dirt and then automatically adjusts the power level. The vacuum also comes with an app that allows you to view an interactive map, control functions, and create schedules. Plus, you can monitor the battery's status and then return it to its dock for charging by pressing a button. The app allows you to modify the LEDs on the top of the vacuum so that you can determine where it is focused or if it has gotten stuck.
The app also makes it easy to manually steer the robot should you need to. For example, my living room rug has a darkly colored border that has a tendency to trip up some of the other robots I've tested. The HRV 425BL however, continued to move across the border, without notifying the cliff. The ability to program a cleaning schedule for each week is a time-saving convenience.
