Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals
This is your chance to own a robot vacuum. CNET's top-rated models are on sale this Black Friday and Cyber Monday and can save you up to 57%.
The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping, with app-based no-go zones, and its 180-minute runtime is awe-inspiring. It also automatically refills and self-empties its water tank.
1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot
The Roomba J7+, iRobot's smartest robot to date, is the Roomba J7+. Its most significant innovation is a camera-based obstacle detection system that makes use of built-in AI to detect objects such as charging cords, shoes, and the dreaded pet waste that many other robots are unable to avoid (and often plough right through). It's also the first to automatically send you photos of any object it encounters so that you can tell it to stay clear of it in the future.
The Combo J7+ is the most efficient mop robot we've ever tested, picking up spills and dirt with ease while leaving no trace it was there. It's easy to control through the iRobot Home app that allows you to schedule cleaning and create Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't vacuum areas you don't want it to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start it and stop it by voice.
The design is also superior to the competition. It has an elegant, top piece that appears like a toy rather than an obnoxious and loud robot. And the Clean Base Automated Dirt Disposal System is self-emptying which is great to reduce the time spent cleaning.
In our tests, we found that the j7+ quickly removed dust, dirt, and pet hair. The rubber brushes that counter-rotate kept the debris in place instead of scattering it across the floor. It even managed to catch small gravel and sand that other robots can't. It did all this without getting caught in our pet's hair.
The j7+, while not as smart as the Roomba S9 for $1,217and Self-Emptying Vacuum Robot from iRobot, and it can't clean the stairs, it's an option for those who need both mopping and a vacuum. It's not too expensive, and the iRobot application makes it user-friendly to use.
The iRobot Home App is easy to use, but we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner apps. It can take some time to download updates, and sometimes it's difficult to tell whether the update is functioning until you've seen it in the action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you want a robot vacuum cleaner that does more than simply clean your floors, a hybrid is the ideal choice. This category of bots typically has a built-in water tank that allows them to vacuum and mop your house at the same time. They also come with many additional features, including smart mapping and small object avoidance and the capability to wash and dry mopping pads. They are expensive at retail, but usually come down in price on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.
Roborock produces some of our favorite robotic vacuums and the Q5+ doesn't fail to impress. It's their most affordable auto-empty model, and although it lacks certain features you'll find on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's a great option if you're willing to compromise a bit in order to save some hundred dollars.
The Q5+ is noticeable gentle around obstacles like wall legs and table legs, which makes it an excellent option for homes with a lot of furniture. It is also very thorough in cleaning dust bunnies. This is a area where most robot vacuums of lower quality fall short. The technology used to navigate in the Q5+ is excellent as well, with only a few missed corners and on walls.
The Q5+, as with other Roborock products can be controlled with just a few buttons on the device, or via the Roborock App. The app lets you start and stop cleanings and schedules, as well as create virtual barriers and no-go zones, and alter your home map, or re-label rooms.
If you opt for the Q5+ it includes a new auto-emptying dock, designed to make this robot easier to maintain. It requires a screwdriver for install, but once it's installed, the process of emptying the bin is simple. It also comes with a large LCD display that is great to have when you're creating schedules or changing settings. This feature isn't necessary for the majority of people, but it can help easily keep the robot's maintenance schedules.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's astonishingly intelligent in its vacuuming and mopping capabilities. Its design and function are among the top available however, it's also expensive.
Its base station looks good and is easily hidden when not in use, and its size is quite compact. But the station's main selling factor is its ability to automate various tasks and functions that other robots will leave to you. It can keep clean and dirty water and also electrolyze and warm the water. The majority of other robots require you to perform this.
And its vacuuming is impressive and efficient, too. It's one of the few robot vacuums I've tested that do an excellent job of cleaning up debris from bare floors, and it's not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot the 900 series.
The Freo X Ultra is not free of faults, especially in the area of navigation. Its LiDAR sensors and laser sensors aren’t as reliable as other robotvacs. This means that it could get stuck or confused in certain corners or rooms in the home. It's also unable to climb stairs like other models and doesn't come with a dock that can create a cleaning area for carpets with plush padding.
While it doesn't offer as many in terms of cleaning-related options in its app, or as many shortcuts within the app as other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for those looking for a comprehensive robot vacuum and mop that's worth the higher price tag.
But if you want to save some money or don't want to think about the limitations of this machine There are many alternatives available which include a variety of eufy models priced substantially less. The eufy Qrevo curv, for example, is cheaper, but offers more features, including stairs and a fully-function Dock, which provides the ability to provide a more thorough vacuuming experience on bare floors, low-pile carpets and even high-pile ones.
4. Eufy RoboVac g30
eufy is an Anker company with a long history of creating robot vacuums with the right balance of features, performance, and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different and offers a powerful cleaning on hard floors and carpets and mopping function too at an affordable price point. It's easy to setup by snapping one of the side brushes on, turn it on and plug in the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps needed to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. The dock will need to be located near an outlet with enough space to move.
The G30 is small, 2.85 inches tall to be precise, which means it can be tucked away under sofas and other furniture with low clearance. Its design is more subtle in comparison to other models. It is sleek with a black finish and three physical buttons for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs an area in a spiral pattern over two minutes) Recharge, and Spot Cleaner. You can also connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home for voice commands to perform routine cleaning tasks that are not scheduled.
The way that the G30 cleans is what sets it apart from its rivals. It makes use of a built-in map to create an image of the non-movable objects that are in its path, remembering what it's already cleaned and what it isn't able to access. It then returns to the base to recharge and then continues cleaning the area it left.
Going At this website has a few issues. The iRobot Roomba 675 is much better built, incurs lower recurring expenses, charges more quickly and has the same battery life, while providing better performance on floors with no carpet and low-pile carpet. It comes with a larger dust bin that does not require the same amount of emptying.
Going At this website comes with border strips that block it from certain areas. The G30 is, on the other hand, is more affordable and a lot easier to maintain. Its smaller dust canister doesn't require as frequent emptying and it has less trouble with bulky materials like cereal.
