This robot vacuum-mop makes an excellent choice for apartment dwellers as it has an economized docking system and has its own garbage bin. The app lets you select different modes and monitor cleaning, plus the mopping function is impressive.

Its mapping capabilities and obstacle avoidance are impressive, and it scrubs very well, picking up pet hair, spillages and dirt. It also self-empties and self-cleans and replenishes its water tank.

Roomba iRobot Combination

The iRobot Combo is a robot that can vacuum and mop. It's not quite enough to take the place of our reigning Editors' Choice, the Deebot X1 Omni, which scrubs more and has an easier-to-use mobile app but it does make for a strong alternative. It was able to consistently remove dirt from hard floors and carpets. Its obstacle avoidance system isn't the most advanced in the world, and isn't equipped with structured light and other technologies like LiDAR, yet it managed to prevent most collisions with furniture and other clutter.

The Combo includes the majority of the same smarts as the j7 Plus and comes with new onboard acoustic sensors to determine the floor's type and AI-powered navigation. However, it isn't able to set suction power manually. It's also slightly less compact than the vac-only version and doesn't include an auto-emptying dock.

The Combo is one of my top choices for most homes. Its elegant design is also one of the most attractive I've seen in the market. The matte black finish is more elegant than the metallic or glossy finishes of many competitors. iRobot also adds some more elegant features, such as the leather tab that opens the bin that is onboard, and a shelf to hold extra bags inside the dock. The iRobot Combo also allows you to easily create maps of your home, as well as to set up Keep-Out Zones and No-Mop Zones, and Clean Zones.

Roborock

While Roborock is comparatively new to the robot vacuum and mop industry, it's already established its mark thanks to a suite of innovative cleaning techniques. click to read are world-class in suction, while its mopping systems utilize vibrating mops to keep floors of dirt. You can also alter the bot's cleaning routine by using a variety and mapping options.

Another outstanding Roborock feature is the obstacle avoidance that allows the robot to see objects smaller than its height. Its advanced navigation system combines 5 technologies to plan and execute a route that is the most efficient. It can also recognize different flooring materials, and obstacles with precision. It can even lift its own 7mm to glide over carpets. Smart spray system uses just the right amount of water to aid in stain removal without leaving marks.


The Legee is an Gen 4 robot that competes directly with the Eufy Robovac X9 and Ecovacs Deebot T20, both of which are more expensive. It comes with more features than either of them and has a more flexible, D-shaped body that is able to clean the corners and under cabinets better than a round one. Its sensors include 360deg (3D) (Lidar Encoder Gyro and E-compass), 4 forward-facing and one right-side-facing (IR ToF distance sensors) and two pairs of cliff detectors, front and rear (most robots have only one pair). It has a self emptying bin, a high level of suction, an array of mopping options, and a high-quality app that works both on iOS and Android.

It's smaller than the other models and its main brush is a bit shorter but it still managed to do a good job in our test room. The rotating brush on the side for edges is a nice addition and, while it couldn't lift dirt from our rugs and was not as effective as some of the competitors however, it did a good job overall.

The robot can be programmed with specific cleaning parameters for each room. It will then create detailed maps using LiDAR's built-in navigation. It's simple to control through the app and a variety of voice output options will keep you informed of the state of your home robot. Regular updates to the software can improve and enhance its performance. The application can also be used to remotely manage the RCV3 when you're away from home.
