It can be driven close to walls without crashing, and avoids steps, and also raises its mop automatically when driving over rugs or carpets with a short pile. However, it struggled a little when encountering longer-pile carpets as well as several large, thick piles of dried-on debris.
The S1 Pro is ready to start right from the moment you purchase it, and it requires only just a few minutes of mapping to discover your home.
