Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos
Robot vacuums and mop are getting more powerful. They pass our tests on cleaning and are able to handle various floors. Choose models that permit you to select between a variety of modes, including self-emptying and clean stairs.
Many of the best models work with your smartphone. Look for an app that lets you save schedules, maps and select cleaning modes.
1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
Eufy's gunmetal-and-gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuums and mop combos available on the market. It uses lidar for navigation and creates maps of floors and rooms.
The S1 was able to map my downstairs quickly, which includes linoleum in the kitchen, dining area and bathrooms, as well as medium-pile and a large rug. It was capable of driving up to walls and even cross raised thresholds without issue. However it had some issues navigating down the stairs in one pass. The S1 performed well in cleaning hard floors. Its mop moved smoothly on its flat side and lifted itself when it was near carpets or rugs.
Prior to each mopping session the docking station on the S1 automatically empties its dustbin and refills the water tank onboard with filtered, clean water ozonated. The dock also adds a cleaning solution into the water for deep cleaning. The S1's water tank can hold enough water for about twelve cleaning sessions before needing to be empty, but this will vary depending on how often you use the mop.
Like all 2-in-1 robots, the S1 requires regular maintenance to keep it working efficiently. It is necessary to regularly wash out the tank that has been contaminated to avoid it becoming clogged. Also, you'll need to clean the swivel wheels and sensors regularly to prevent them from getting blocked by dust or dirt. Overall, the S1 is easy to maintain, particularly compared to other models that require more care.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
Ecovacs' all-in-one robotic vacuum and mop is an efficient solution to your cleaning needs. The robot vacuum has 8,700Pa suction power and comes with a number advanced features like voice control and smart path planning that cleans furniture and eliminates obstacles. The mopping capabilities of the robot are impressive. Rotating mop pads actually lift floors and scrub it, rather than simply dragging a pad across the surface.
robot cleaner can also be dried and cleaned at the base station if needed.
This robot has an easy interface that guides you throughout the process. It includes a hand vacuum that recharges to reach those areas the robot isn't able to reach and two water tanks that are automatically empty and filled when required. It also has a range of useful settings to fine-tune your cleaning preferences.
The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does excellent job of vacuuming, with a strong suction that easily removes all kinds of debris, including the smaller pieces of dust that other robots struggle with. Its navigation capabilities are robust, however it is sometimes hung up on the tiny area mats or rugs that I have in my home (which is something you can control by defining a virtual boundary in the application). Its mopping is quite excellent, too, with a pair of spin mops that actually lift and scrub floors, as opposed to simply dragging the pad over it. The mops can also be cleaned using heated water and dried in the base station as needed. The mops can also be replenished at the top of the station as required.
3. Dreame X40 Ultra
Dreame's X30 Ultra robot vacuum and mop was released earlier this year. But their latest flagship model is packed with impressive features. It has outstanding cleaning performance and hands-off maintenance making it a top contender for our top mop and robot vacuum list. Its superior mapping abilities, RGB AI smart detection and a larger side brush ensure that an efficient, custom-designed clean is completed.
The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming and removing large and small particles from hard floors as well as carpets. It was able to clean the dirtiest areas of our tests efficiently, avoiding pet hairs and other messes. The sweeping capabilities are augmented by an additional side brush that automatically swings out to tackle hard-to-reach corners, and an extending mop pad that deploys alongside baseboards.
Its navigation system is intelligent that can navigate tight spaces and negotiating stairs without skipping a beat. It can move from one area to another without changing direction, which is a handy feature for larger homes with several rooms. Its obstacle avoidance technology isn't as advanced than other models However, it tends to leave a wide margin over obstacles, which can result in missed spots.
The app's interface is intuitive and easy to use. It should be simple to use for both novices and experienced users. The app lets you schedule and manage cleanings. You can also adjust suction power, mop setting and look up 3-D and 2-D maps. It can be operated through the app, Alexa, Google Assistant or Siri and allows you to monitor its progress from anywhere. You can even use the X40 Ultra's camera remotely to get live video surveillance. You will require a reliable WiFi connection to use the app and external controls.
4. Roomba Q5 pro
A robot vacuum does an excellent job of picking up dirt and debris, but it can't always reach every last piece of dust. This is why it's crucial to use your regular vacuum once every week, particularly to remove dust from corners and on shelves and in the corners of your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro is a 2-in-1 vacuum and mop robot designed to do exactly that. It's easy to connect to your home Wi-Fi network and is compatible with Alexa and Apple Siri, making it an even more convenient addition to your routine of cleaning.
The Q5 is an unadorned version of the company's more pricier S-series models, including the top-of-the-line Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. It uses the same LIDAR mapping sensors, however it's less expensive because it does not have mopping capabilities and has plastic body.
Although it's no longer able to clean your floors, the Q5 has some of the most impressive mopping and vacuum performance we've seen from a robot at this price. It has a powerful suction of 5500Pa, and an automatic empty system, so you don't have to empty the bin manually every time. It comes with a smart app which allows you to schedule cleaning and determine the floor type. It also features an automatic water tank filling and washing system for hands-free operation.
Its mops are also awe-inspiring with 2700Pa of power to tackle dust, dirt, and pet hair on both hard floors and carpets. The Q5 is one of the few robots we tested that didn't show any issues with high-pile carpets or area rug, but it was unable to pick up cat litter or cable tangles that's not a surprise given that it doesn't have AI-powered obstacle avoidance.
5. K10 Plus
K10 Plus is the quietest robot vacuum we've ever tested. It also features a unique mapping system that helps it reach tight spaces and corners that other vacuums cannot. The K10 Plus also has the larger bin, meaning that you don't have to empty it as frequently. It also has washable filters that further lower the cost of using the device. The robot can recognize carpets, and boost suction if needed. The app allows you to mark areas that you want it to avoid this is a useful feature.
