Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos
Robot vacuums and mop are getting more efficient. They pass our cleaning tests, and can handle different floors. Select models that allow you to choose between multiple types, including self-emptying and clean stairs.
A lot of the top models work with your smartphone. Find an app that lets you save maps, schedules and select cleaning modes.
1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
The black and gloss gunmetal Omni S1 Pro from Eufy is among the most impressive mop and robot vacuum combos available. It makes use of lidar to navigate and create maps of rooms and floors (even multiple levels), and works with the free Eufy Clean app that lets you set schedules and alter the S1's behaviour.
When I tested the S1 It was quick to locate our downstairs, which has laminate flooring in the kitchen, dining room and bathrooms, as well as carpeting with a medium-pile and an area rug. It was capable of driving close to walls and even cross raised thresholds without any problems. However, it had some difficulty navigating down the stairs in one step. The S1 also did a great job of cleaning hard floors, with its mop driving effortlessly on its flat side against the floor and then lifting itself when it reached carpet or carpet.
The S1's docking station automatically empties its trash bin and replenishes its water tank onboard with clean, ozonated water before every mopping session. The dock also includes a cleaning solution in the water to ensure deep cleaning. The S1's tank of water holds enough for about a dozen cleaning sessions before it needs to be empty, but it will differ based the amount you use the mop.
Like all 2-in-1 robots the S1 requires regular maintenance to ensure that it's operating efficiently. In order to do this, you'll have to clean the water tank that is dirty regularly to keep it from becoming clogged. You'll also need to clean the swivel wheel and sensors regularly to prevent them from getting blocked by dust or dirt. Overall the S1 is easy to maintain, especially compared to other combos that require more care.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
Ecovacs all-in-one robotic vacuum and mop is a powerful solution for your cleaning requirements. Its robot vacuum has 8700Pa suction power, and comes with a variety of advanced features like voice control and smart path scheduling that cleans furniture and eliminates obstacles. The mopping capabilities of the robot are impressive, with mops that rotate that actually lift and scrub the floor rather than simply drag the pad across it. Mops can also be cleaned and dried at the base station when needed.
This robot combination is simple to setup and use, with a simple interface that walks you through the procedure. It also comes with a hand vacuum which can be used to clean those hard-to reach areas that the robot can't reach. There are also two water tanks which are automatically filled or empty. It comes with a range of settings that can be used to fine-tune your cleaning preferences.
The Deebot X2 Combo Complete is a good vacuum cleaner. It has a powerful suction that is able to easily pick up dust and debris that other robots have trouble with. Its navigation capabilities are pretty good, although it could get stuck on small mats and rugs in my home (which you can alleviate by creating virtual boundaries within the app). Mopping capabilities are very good with a pair of spinning mop heads that can lift and scrub the floor instead of simply moving the pad across it. The mops are cleaned with heated water and dried in the base station when required. Mops are also refilled from the top of the base station when required.
3. Dreame X40 Ultra
Dreame released the luxe X30 Ultra earlier this year however their latest flagship robot mop and vacuum comes with more impressive features. It has fantastic cleaning results and is simple to maintain. This makes it a worthy contender for our list of the top robot vacuums and mop. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart recognition and a long side brush will give you an efficient, customized clean.
The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming, picking up large and small particles from both hard floors and carpets. It also cleaned our test's dirtiest areas well, eliminating pet hairs that are tangled and other mess. The sweeping performance of the machine is boosted by a sidebrush which automatically extends to reach areas that are difficult to reach, and a mop pad that extends along baseboards.
Its navigation is intelligent that can navigate narrow spaces and negotiating stairways without stepping back. It can easily move from one room to another without changing direction which is a great feature for homes with several rooms. Its obstacle avoidance is less advanced than some competitors and leaves a wide margin over obstacles. This can result in miss-hit spots.
The interface of the app is simple and streamlined. It should be easy to use for novice and experienced users. The app lets you plan and manage cleanings, change suction power and mopping settings as well as view 3D and 2D maps, and much more. It can be operated through the app, Alexa, Google Assistant, or Siri and allows you to monitor its progress from anywhere. You can even remotely control the X40 Ultra camera for real-time monitoring. However, you will require a stable Wi-Fi connection to operate it through the app and external controls.
4. Roomba Q5 Pro
A robot vacuum does a great job of picking up dirt and debris, but it can't always be able to reach every piece of dust. This is why it's important to make use of your regular vacuum once every week, and especially to pick up dust in corners, on shelves and in the corners of your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro is a 2-in-1 vacuum and mop robot that was designed to do exactly that. It's easy to connect to your WiFI network at home and it works with Alexa or Apple Siri.
Robot Vacuum Mops is a stripped down version of the more expensive S-series models from the company, such as the top-of-the-line Roborock S8 maxV ultra. It uses a similar LIDAR mapping sensor, but it saves price by eliminating the mopping functionality and by using a lower-cost plastic body.
The Q5 remains one of the most powerful mopping and vacuums we've seen at this price, even though it's not equipped to clean your floors. It features a powerful suction of 5500Pa and an auto-empty system so you don't have to manually empty the bin every time. It also features a smart app that lets you set the type of floor and schedule cleanings, and an automatic water tank refill and wash system for hands-free operation.
Its mops are also awe-inspiring with 2700Pa of power to take on dirt, dust and pet hair on carpets and hard floors. The Q5 was among the few robots we tested did not show issues with high-pile carpets and rugs. However, it was able to not remove kitty-poop or cable tangles. This isn't too surprising because it doesn't have AI-powered obstacle-avoidance features.
5. K10 Plus
K10 Plus is the quietest robotic vacuum we've ever tested. It also features an innovative mapping system that helps it reach tight spaces and corners that other vacuums are unable to. This device also collects dust in a bigger dustbin which means you need empty it less frequently. Furthermore, it comes with washable filters which further reduces the cost of using the device. This robot can detect carpets and increase suction if necessary. The app allows you to mark areas that you want it to stay clear of and is a great feature.
