Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that vacuum and mop offer the convenience of cleaning both dry debris (dust dirt, grit) and wet mess (spills, stains) in one go without the need to switch out devices. They also can save space in comparison to two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot should be able to navigate well and have excellent obstacle avoidance. Look for models that have docks that allow them to automatically empty their bins, refill their water tanks and wash the mopping pads.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It has plenty to offer at a affordable price and is among the easiest robots we've tested to set up. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and an easy-to-follow guide will have you running with a clean, full dust bag, a hard floor solution and water tank in a matter of minutes.
The S1 Pro is a powerful small machine that can cleans up a mess and vacuums well too. The mops are spun at a high speed and utilize 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to swiftly get rid of pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum cleaner has four power settings, a range of brushes and attachments, and an intuitive app that lets you choose the type of cleaning you'd like to do for each room.
For instance, you can ask the robot to clean the kitchen and living room thoroughly but leave the bedroom in its own space. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors and smart navigation technology. It is able to detect small obstacles that other models can't. Its only minor issue is that it tends to crash into walls and objects at a high speed, but an instant glance at the history of cleaning within the app will show you exactly what it's doing as well as where it's heading and the obstacles it's run into or avoided.
The docking station comes with a handy LCD screen that displays the time when maintenance is required for cleaning up debris and cleaning the water tank that is dirty. It is also able to mix detergent into the water tank automatically, using a 600ml eufy solution.
Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long run time. The mop is able to run for 184 minutes in Quiet Mode. The vacuum can last for 136 minutes in normal mode, before needing recharging or returning to the base. The app is easy to use and intuitive, allowing you to see every aspect of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the latest version of the company's flagship robot mop and vacuum. It's not like the model from last year this one has an agitator that doubles in its mopping pad which significantly enhances its carpet cleaning abilities. The S8 Pro Ultra also has enhanced suction power, which allows it to pull up small hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners might overlook.
The Roborock model, like the other two models I tested, has infrared and reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology to help it avoid obstacles such as walls, furniture, and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and includes dual cameras that can detect objects, and determine if they're walls or other surfaces. It can then automatically change its path and clean around them without skipping a beat.
It's the most expensive robot I've ever tested, but it also has the most features. Its sleek and angular design is eye-catching and it has just three physical buttons that include the power button which also resumes cleaning; a mop button that doubles as a child lock; and a home button to send the robot back to its dock. The hinged lid opens to reveal a 350ml dustbin and 200ml of water tank. The water tank is automatically filled and the bin auto-refills.
The only issue I encountered with this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't removable. While you can replace the mopping cloth (if necessary), it's a pain to take off the mount itself to wash it manually. I've noticed that any carpet that the robot crosses will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on the mount, which can cause abrasions.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a range of smart features that include support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can manage and set up these via the Roborock app which is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app lets you schedule cleanings and monitor the battery's lifespan. You'll have to go through some hoops to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame, considering how efficient it is otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop that has exceptional suction power, advanced mowing capabilities, and a variety of innovative features. Its intelligent design allows you to personalize and efficiently clean while reducing time.
The X40 is the first robotic vacuum cleaner that can deliver 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which makes it one of the best options available. This powerful vacuum can clear up pet hair, crumbs and other dry mess. It comes with a mop that is high quality that cleans hard floors without the use of a pad. The X40 is also very quiet in operation with only occasional bursts during mode changes or self-maintenance.
The X40 has a side brush that is able to be lifted and extended. This lets it reach into corners that are hard to reach and clean curved furniture like chairs and table legs. It also allows the robot to reach under furniture with a low profile which makes it a great choice for small apartments and condos with limited space. The side brush automatically tilts down when it detects wet spots. This is a great feature that enables the X40 to prevent damage to floors from the frequent back-and-forth movement.
Contrary to other robots, which are limited to a single task, the X40 can vacuum and mop simultaneously. It can also be programmed to eliminate areas with carpets and mop only hard floors, or vice versa. It can be controlled by the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure that voice-controlled operations are smooth and easy.
The app is simple to use and understand, and the X40 is equipped with many clever features that are simple to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, alter suction power and mode, look at mapping and floor plans and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also monitor its progress, and alert you when it's done.
The X40 is easy-to-maintain and offers many convenient features, making it an ideal option for busy families. The docking station can automatically empty the dustbin and wash mop pads before refilling them with fresh cleaning solution and water. It can also detect the moment when the mop pad has reached its capacity to the max and alert you to the situation before it overflows.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models on the market. It does have a number of features that make it stand out. The mops are equipped with a new feature called Smart DuoScrub. This makes use of two mops with high-speed motors to clean floors more thoroughly than the traditional method, and has the highest suction power of 7,000Pa. This is more than that of the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni and can remove pet hair and small dirt particles - and also pick up spills and wet spots.
The mop is cleaned and dried in the base station each time they are used. This is beneficial because it stops mould and unpleasant odours that can build up in storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a system has yet to be seen on other robot vacuum and mop models and it could be a useful method of keeping your home cleaner for longer.
There are plenty of options, including the option to schedule cleaning times and adjust preferences.
vacuum bot can be set via the app or buttons on the device itself. The app is simple to use and has many options to customize your cleaning routine. It also offers many features that aren't offered on other robots, like the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction when it detects dust particles.
budget robot vacuum has a stylish design with a metallic-white-white finish that looks elegant and elegant. It's a bit heavier than some of the other two-in-one robots on this list, at 4kg but it's not too heavy either, and it feels sturdy and well-built. The mopping is also well-designed, and the double rotating mops work well on hard floors and in corners. The MopExtend feature allows them to reach even 2mm below the baseboards.
