The Maxi-Cosi Lora
The Iora is a bassinet designed for infants designed to help parents feel more connected to their baby as they sleep. It can be adjusted upwards and downwards, and moved through three different slide positions, to be placed beside the bed of the parent or in the corner so the baby is always at hand. The mesh siding lets air flow through, and allows you to see your baby quickly. You can also store more pajamas and other supplies in the large storage basket beneath.
The Iora is a bedside crib that is smaller and folds flat. It also comes with a travel bag which allows it to be taken anywhere. Our mum testers were able to move it from room to room and believed that it was a suitable size for a bedside cot that was not too big or small. They also liked the large storage basket, that is ideal for storing nappies or other bedding items.
This is an excellent choice for parents who want to sleep in a co-sleeping arrangement but don't want to share their beds or whose partner may be suffering from mobility issues, such as arthritis or back pain. Our mom testers are thrilled with the convenience of being able to access their child in the Iora, and it also has an optional reflux incline to help alleviate gas.
Our mums love that it follows NICE guidelines. These are to place an infant in the Moses basket or crib on its own, without toys, blankets or pillows. The mattress is also sturdy and comfortable for the baby and sheets are easy to find. It's not as light as other cribs that are smaller on our list, so if you prefer something lighter and easier to move around, consider a different option.
