Its navigation system was efficient. It stayed clear of steps and walked close to walls without crashing. However, it struggled with fine-grained debris and wasn't always able to remove raised thresholds in rooms. Its operating noise level is also very high, which means this model might not be as easy to set and forget as other models.

The S1 Pro, like most robotic vacuums, comes with docking technology that allows it to refill its clean water tank, empty the dustbin as well as wash and dry the mop, and empty its mop pad. This makes maintenance easy and allows the S1 Pro spend more time cleaning floors in line with an established schedule. This robot is only a few hundred dollars more expensive than the S8 and does a fantastic job of keeping my office tidy. It also has the ability to reach all corners of my tiny apartment. It has an object/obstacle detector that will stay clear of things like dog bowls and toys (but not poop) unlike most vacuums.

It also comes with other highlights, such as an automatic emptying dustbin, a mop pad that's self-washing and able to adjust the temperature of water and a side-reaching brush that is able to reach places that other mops can't reach. You can also set your own cleaning schedule in the app and set custom the settings for each room of your home.

Similar to the S8 model, it comes with multi-room smart mapping, and can differentiate between carpets, laminate and hardwood rugs with high-pile. And, if you're looking to cut down on time, it will skip cleaning rooms that aren't filthy. It's a great option if you have a mix of flooring in your home and do not want to invest the money to buy the Roborock with advanced mapping features.

7. Q5 Pro

This robot is an excellent choice when you're looking for a versatile robot that can do both regular maintenance on a daily basis as well as touch-ups to wet messes. It's smaller than many of its competitors however, it doesn't compromise any features. It has a decent suction capacity and can be set to take pictures of every object it chooses (i.e. chew toys socks, chew toys) and mark them in the app as 'not located', so that they are not taken up in subsequent cleanings. Its photos are encrypted, and are not tied to your account.

It's great for vacuuming, but not as good at mopping. It uses disposable wipes that are clipped onto the bot's bottom and drags them across the floor. Compare this to the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra or Narwhal with water reservoirs and will automatically wash and attach their mophead.
