After the war, he looked for work as a carpenter and coal miner but found his skill and passion as a brick mason, running his own business 50+ years with his bro Guy, and his boys. Glenn's specialized remained in developing special fireplaces. During his life, he took pride in assisting his children, brother or sisters, nieces and nephews with several masonry projects. At the age of 81, he was awarded his high school diploma by the state of West Virginia.
