The cot is cushioned, features mesh sides for better ventilation, and its mattress is made from high-density foam for added protection. It can also be cleaned which means you can keep the cot clean. It includes a fitted mattress sheet that can be used for the crib.

It can also be used as a standalone crib even when it's not connected to the bed. It is packed with wonderful features designed with the idea of parent-child bonding in mind.

The most important thing to keep in mind is that even though this crib is ideal for babies, it won't last long once your little one turns six months old, so you will require an additional cot. Overall, Roanna thought that the Joie Roomie Glide crib was an excellent purchase. She loved its sleek design.

John Lewis sells the Roomie Glide for PS160. Roanna thought this was a fair price for such an item. We love the fact that it's made of soft materials that have mesh sides that breathe, which aids in airflow and comfort. Anna found it to be solid and secure when it was attached to her bed with the legs securely clicking into place and the zips secure to ensure safety for babies. It took her about 10 minutes to assemble and didn't require any tools, with clear instructions and a video or support number if you run into any problems.

It can even be converted into a sofa bed with the addition of an extension pack. While it won't be able to magically bring your baby to sleep or feed them, it will rock them and send them off.

The Chicco Next2Me Magic

This is one of Chicco's more expensive options. It does have numerous excellent features. It's designed as a side sleeper or a standalone crib and is suitable from birth to six months. It comes with a new mechanism to open and close the side panel and is easy to operate, even for one-handed operation. It's also more flexible than its predecessor, having 11 different height levels and feet that retract to fit under any bed.

The side panel can be lifted by itself, too however, it's not advised as it increases the chance of your child falling out of the cot. The Next2Me Magic was easy to use and set up for our test subjects, even with the lengthy instruction manual. It's a bit heavier than other side-sleepers but it's still very portable and can be moved from room room easily. It can also be folded up into its travel bag, which is a great option if you want to transport it. The only thing our testers found is that the side panel did not stretch as much as other models. This made it a bit harder to see your baby from your bed.
