IAM RoadSmart's Advanced Driving Course is an expert-led process that involves up to 12 observation drives using an IAM RoadSmart Observer, as along with seminars. Once you've completed the course, you will be an Advanced Driver and you will also be able to join for a year with IAM RoadSmart. This will ensure that the roads are safer for all.

The Pre-licensing course may be taken either in a classroom setting or through distance learning/virtual classes. If you choose the classroom option, you will receive an MV-278 Prelicensing Certificate of Completion. Whatever version you decide to enroll in all courses follow the same curriculum content. Once you successfully complete your course, the provider will report your completion to the DMV automatically, and you don't need to show the certificate at the time of taking your driver's exam.
