Obtaining a Driving Licence C+E

Driving licence C+E is the most comprehensive HGV license you can get. It allows you to drive a lorry that has a semi-trailer or trailer of over 750 kg.

The training for category CE is an natural progression from the training that leads to Category C. It includes driving on roads with various traffic densities as well as on training tracks.

Requirements

A driving license is a legal document that proves that a driver has satisfied the legal requirements for driving. The requirements for driving vary from country to country, but most include passing the test and not having a history of traffic violations. The tests are generally divided into theory and practice however there are a few exceptions to this rule. You must also possess an active driver's license in your car in order to be eligible for a category C+E license.

The C+E driving licence is the most hgv-advanced category available. The C+E license combines the C and E categories and is the most comprehensive HGV licence available. You must hold a Category C license to be eligible for a C+E licence. You must also pass a driving test and a medical exam.

Training

You may be denied a license if, during the test, you were driving in a dangerous manner or were involved in a collision. Or if you violated traffic laws, rules or regulations. You'll be required to take your test again and pay additional fees if you broke any traffic laws or rules.

Medical examination

To be qualified to drive a lorry on the EU one must undergo a medical examination. A doctor will check the eyesight of the driver and his general health. A medical certificate permits drivers to obtain C+E driving license valid for five years. The license is renewed every year after that.

You must pass two tests in order to pass the driving test. The first is a theory-based test and the second is a test that you can practice. To further discourage fraud and fraud, the SDLA must include the contact information of the ME who conducted a medical examination in the driver's file.
