EV Star

GreenPower Motor Company builds purpose-built, all electric heavy-duty and medium-duty vehicles for the cargo and delivery markets, shuttle and transit spaces, as well as school busses. GreenPower's EV Star Cab & Chassis, which is proprietary allows for multiple upgrades and bodies, and sets the standards for zero-emission people and goods transportation. GreenPower provides low-floor electric buses for transit authorities. They offer a 30ft, a 40ft and double-decker EV550.

The firm's current fleet of buses is comprised of six models which comprise 95% of their components. They are able to offer them at less than traditional vehicles. This is especially important because government subsidies are declining.

The EV Star Cargo van is the most recent member of GreenPower's fleet and was specifically designed for last-mile delivery applications. It has a flexible design that's easy to customize and can be outfitted with a wide range of accessories for increased functionality.

In terms of charging, it is able to be charged with AC level 2 in 8 hours at 11 kW or DC rapid charge in just two hours at 61 kW. The vehicle also has venting HVAC system and ADA security.

In the realm of passenger transportation, GreenPower's EV Star Passenger Van sets the standards for safety, performance and sustainability. Based on mymobilityscooters & Chassis, it can be configured with multiple upfits or bodies to meet the needs of different businesses and comes with seating capacities from 20 to 50 passengers. Its Altoona test score of 92.2 is the highest in its class, and it also offers ADA accessibility options.

As the demand for electric vehicles continues to rise, GreenPower is looking at ways to expand its production capacity. GreenPower is collaborating with Perrone Robotics to integrate Level 5 autonomous driving into the EV Star, which will be the first to offer this capability. In contrast to the majority of autonomous vehicles that are in use and have been converted or upgraded GreenPower's EV Star has been designed with autonomy right from the beginning. Clean-sheet design allows for the integration of future autonomous drive technologies. GreenPower's EV Star is available in both diesel and battery electric versions which can provide an up to 150 miles of range on a single charge. It also has a high payload capacity to accommodate an array of body designs and configurations. This enables it to be customized for a variety of applications including paratransit, employee shuttles vanpool and micro transit. GreenPower already produces ten EV Stars every month, and plans to increase production according to the demand. This will allow it to provide the lowest total cost of ownership to customers.
