GreenPower Motor Company produces a complete line of high-floor and low-floor all-electric medium and heavy-duty vehicles. The EV Star Cab & Chassis is their flagship vehicle, and can be adapted to suit a variety of applications. The platform's clean sheet design allows for the optimal placement of battery packs and lower center of gravity resulting in better payload to range ratios.
The EV Star REEFERX was designed for mid-to-last mile refrigerated deliveries as well as catering applications. The refrigerated trucks of class 4' one interior wall structure and a higher insulation level than conventional trucks, allow for seamless sanitation and better temperature control. They also have a longer service life. The EV Star REEFERX offers superior cargo capacity, and an industry-leading payload to range for zero-emission transport of passengers or goods.
GreenPower has partnered with Perrone Robotics in order to equip the EV Star with TONY (To navigate you) autonomous vehicle systems that will enable fleets to easily make the transition to autonomous vehicles. The AV Star will also be able to support wireless charging of 75 kW.
We had the opportunity to test the EV9 for several hours on a local freeway, and found it easy to drive and comfortable for long distances. The EV9 can block road noise and wind while driving on the highway. It rides smoothly over ruts and humps. The vehicle's acceleration is surprising fast, and it comes with adjustable regenerative brakes to enable "one-pedal driving" simply by lifting off the accelerator.

The EV9 is extremely reliable and can be fully recharged in about three hours at home, or using any commercial charger. Drivers can choose between two modes of operation that include eco mode and sports mode. The eco mode prioritizes the cruise control and torque, while the sport mode maximizes speed and handling. Both are fun to drive and offer a unique driving experience for those who have not driven an electric vehicle before.
In addition to the EV9, GreenPower has several other e-vehicles available, such as a multi-purpose, all-electric mini bus, called the EV Star.
green power mobility reviews is ADA compliant and can be utilized as an executive shuttle, micro-transit or transit vanpool, bus, or paratransit vehicle.
GreenPower produces about 10 EV Star busses a month for Jacksonville Transit Authority. The Jacksonville Transit Authority is replacing their fleet of diesel vehicles with 100 electric vehicles. With the Biden Administration aiming to electrify schools across the nation, GreenPower plans on ramping production to meet demand. Their EV Star buses are the first of their kind to be Altoona tested and FMVSS certified. They are Buy America compliant, and ADA compliant. This means they'll be eligible for federal assistance in transit. We will be following the AV Star as it begins its demonstration tour the coming months. We will share more details on this EV that is truly innovative!
