Path of Exile Item Upgrading
The most effective way to improve your gear in Path of Exile is through upgrading your items. This lets you upgrade your gear without having depend on costly drops or trades. This article will teach you how to upgrade your gear.
Upgrading equipment grants a bonus to the item's base stats. This bonus is based on the upgrade component level and rarity.
Components
Upgrade components are the parts that can make your weapons and armor more effective. You can acquire them by fighting off enemies, locating them in item spheres or buying them from karma dealers.
item upgrades can also be salvaged from equipment with them or by using a high-tier salvage kit like the Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool. Contrary to other products upgrade components, upgrade components aren't destroyed when removed from an item.
Upgrade components are mostly used to upgrade an item but they can also be used for other purposes. They can be stacked to increase the level of experience gained from upgrading existing weapons or gear. They can also be made to offer additional benefits. A crafted glyph can increase the upgrade chances of its target, while boost upgrades increase the defense or attack capabilities of the weapon.
By selecting an upgrade template from the GUI will allow you to bind it to an item. This will show the upgrade components to which the item can be updated. You can also use the workbench for selecting an upgrade template. In either case the item will be upgraded once enough upgrade components have been collected.
Each component has a different experience multiplier, which affects the amount of experience an item receives when it is upgraded by the component. Organic components, like have more experience multipliers than mechanical components. You should upgrade your organic components first until you reach the next rank in the weapon or equipment, and then move on to mechanical upgrades.
Each item has an upgrade maximum number that is available for. The number of items that can be upgraded is determined by their upgradeable rank, and the type of upgrade they can receive. The highest upgrade possible is a weapon that is the tier 10.
item upgrade is a gun of tier 6 and a armor upgrade for tier 5.
Sets
A set is a set of items which all have the same bonus. Each item can be upgraded at minimum once. The upgrade increases the guaranteed bonuses. When you first upgrade the set piece or weapon is that it will be given an increase of +1 to its primary stat. In subsequent upgrades the stats of the primary one will be boosted a little further (for example, +1 to 12+/13+/14+) Each time you upgrade the item, one of its extra stats is increased randomly.
Upgrades to a weapon may increase its damage base, which can be crucial for certain builds. However, weapons cannot be upgraded to have a greater maximum defense roll than their base. It is possible to increase value of certain set and unique items by upgrading them, but they may not always be superior to a higher-level Runeword.
If you are upgrading an item that comes with an added bonus, the item can be rerolled one time, and its guarantee will reset to 0. The same power die is used to roll an item, just as it would be used to level it up. However, the new item has different bonuses. The NPC [ArmorBoboko Boboko can upgrade your armor in Central Flarine. To upgrade an item, you will need a power die of each type (Dice 4 or 6 drop from monsters 21+ and Giants; dice 7 drops from bosses) and the appropriate amount of Minerals and Erons. These can be purchased with Gold at the crafting table or in the Ultra Collection. The NPCs will also offer special rewards for each level of the upgrade process. This reward can be rerolled one time using the same materials and components as the first item.
Rerolling
If the player has enough rerolling tokens, they can play rerolling any item they've accumulated during the game. When an item is rerolled it will be replaced with an equivalent level 1 version from another set. Reroll tokens are available in the store for a small amount of in-game currency. They are not refundable. The new item will have the same extra bonuses as the original, but the stats will also be different.
Players can change the identity of their equipment, in addition to rerolling it by interacting with a NPC upgrader. This will change the identification as a weapon to armor, or vice versa. The basic requirements and stats will remain the same. The change is permanent and will affect all characters that own the gear in question.
Players can also boost the level of an item equipped device by obtaining upgrade items and conversing with the item's upgrader NPC. This will cost a set amount of crests as well as Valorstones according to the upgrade track and the item type. For weapons, each upgrade will add an additional five percent to the damage.
Upgrades can boost the capability of an item, however they also can decrease the quality of an item. It is therefore important to balance the two. Certain items might not be worth upgrading, while others will need to be upgraded to reach their potential. For example an individual player may decide to upgrade a piece breakpoint armor that has an interesting modifier ( percent chance of blocking or FHR) to discover what it could become.
The primary reason why people play rerolls in Genshin Impact, or in any gacha-based game, is because they are trying to obtain a particular character or weapon that they can't otherwise obtain. These items are time-consuming and costly to acquire, and the RNG isn't always a good fit. The only alternative is to spend real money or grind extensively. Rerolling is a popular feature in Genshin Impact.
Leveling
When upgrading an item you can level up the weapon or armor. But, this feature does absolutely nothing in the current game. I believe it was intended to to give some value to rare items, but because equipment generally drops quickly and can only be upgraded after a certain amount of levels it is likely that you will replace the item before it gets too old. It's not worth upgrading items with gem sockets, as the power of the stone will outweigh any increase in ilvl.
You will be presented with a small box when you click on the upgrade option on an item. It will show the template for the item, its Crest, as well as the Valorstone cost to raise the level of the item. Armor and weapons have different costs, with the latter generally being more expensive. The upgrade template shows the statistics that will be added to the upgraded item and will also list its current ilvl.
The crest and Valorstone costs are calculated based on the current ilvl of the item and the upgrade template. The ilvl will also be reduced by the upgrade templates reduction percentage of lvl. For instance the weapon that has an increase of 8% will decrease its count by 8-8%.
The item will be upgraded to other stats, like critical strike damage, PvE damages and block, parry, and dodge rating in addition to the base ilvl. These increases are built on the upgrade template.
In the upgrade template, you can see the amount of damage or defense the item will be able to sustain after it is leveled up. This is displayed below the cost as well as the upgrade percentages. All weapons and armor, except practice equipment, get these stats when they level up. The value of these additional stats will be dictated by the market, with a perfectly perfectly rolled version of a weapon or piece of armor is able to command more trade value than non-upp'd versions. The same applies to other pieces of armor like tiaras and circlets.
