World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading

Upgrades to items allow players to increase the gear score of an item up to 700 and add a final perk. Items can be upgraded by having them in inventory, and then taking them to the kiln.

Certain items can be upgraded to increase their stats (like a perfectly made breakpoint armour that can be rolled to use in melee PvP) while others like weapons do not change significantly after an upgrade, and therefore aren't worth upgrading.

item upgrading can be upgraded to boost their numeric stats like crit chance, attack damage, PvE and damage from PvP. Weapons come with a flat-rate bonus that increases damage per second. Additionally there are many weapons with an added bonus that is activated when three or more of the same weapon are equipped on a single unit. In some instances, this bonus could add up to more than the amount of damage a weapon is able to upgrade by itself.

The cost of upgrading a weapon varies on its rarity and level. For example the weapon with a +2 rating will require two regular Smithing Stones to upgrade while the +3 model requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade the gun will increase until it requires a higher level of Smithing Stones. At that point it will reset to one.

Upgrades to weapons also reroll the stats of their base. This is generally a positive aspect, but it may also have negative consequences. In the case of items that only see use in a particular build (Whistant's shield for FB sorcs for instance) upgrading them can render them useless unless you get a fortunate roll.

It is possible to upgrade armor items to boost their effectiveness. In the case of chests or helms this will increase the defense of its base, while a belt and gloves will increase their strength and dexterity. Armor also has the option of rerolling its Enhanced Defense percentage, which means that it may roll back to a lower number.

The upgrade template for a weapon will display the new stats it will get when upgraded and their relative values. This means that a weapon will gain 33% attack damage when it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. However the 3% does not mean that it will strike for 3 times less often because it's an absolute number.

A weapon can also be rerolled using the green button with circling arrows in the item menu. This will roll an item and alter its stats, but not reset the weapon's levels, or tie it to the account status.

Armor

A few upgrades to your armor can make a huge difference to your survival. Certain sets can offer MASSIVE increases in poison, curse, fire and magic resistance, which can make traversing tough areas a breeze. Generally speaking, the more defense your character has the more value you will get out of each point of health you possess and it's crucial to improve your armor as much as you can.

You can upgrade your armor by visiting one of the Great Fairy Fountains. There are four Great Fairy Fountains available in the game, and to unlock each fountain, you must complete an additional quest involving the Stable Trotters. Once you've completed the primary side quest and mastered the fountain in question, you can then contact any Great Fairy to open up the armor upgrading menu.

Each piece of armor can be upgraded up to three levels and the amount of materials and Rupees needed for each level will differ. In general, you'll be looking at anything from three to five Red Chuchu Jellies and 10 Rupees for the first upgrade, and then anywhere from five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Horns for each subsequent upgrade. For example the Champion Leathers can be upgraded to +5 defense, which allows you to keep pace with a good-sized group of adversaries in most cold conditions, and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded all the way to +20 defense, giving you enough protection to withstand the full-on assault with a few of your friends.

You can't upgrade your armor in the same way as weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior then you should concentrate on upgrading your armor to increase physical power or the power of spells. It's also a good idea to save your armor upgrades for the armor you'll wear at the end of the game, such as the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield, or the helmet you wear for the final boss battle as well as the Monter Parts merchant's mask.

By giving the jeweler 10 Twinkling Titanite in Gerudo Town, you can unlock some perks on your armor. In general, you should save these upgrades for the weapon you'll use to beat the game, such as the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer however, it could be useful to have a few improvements to the helmets and chest armor that let you stealthy battle some monsters.

Potions

Potions are substances in bottles that, when consumed, give the user an effect on their status for a short period of time. There are five kinds of potions, each with a specific set of effects and durations. Certain potions can be upgraded, increasing their effectiveness. You can also enhance the effects of certain potions by adding glowstone dust and redstone.

Upgrades to potion require a certain amount XP. This can be earned through crafting them on a craft table, or by storing them in the Alchemist chest. However, the upgrade price will vary based on the kind of potion you wish to upgrade, as well as on the item's Mark Level and Rarity.

To upgrade a potions simply right-click on it in your inventory. Then, select "Upgrade" from the menu. This opens an GUI in which you can select the potions you want to upgrade and the amount of XP they'll produce when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches up to five at once, and their XP will be added to the total XP you currently have.

When a poton is upgraded and stored, it will not degrade unless you use it again or break the bottle in the container it is kept. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will also allow you to change its name.

Version 1.7.2 introduced a few changes to the way potions are used. For example splash potions now have a duration of zero,08 seconds (this is not the same as the 22.5 seconds that are displayed on the item hover display). The table of potion now crafted from four Wood Planks, and two Glass. This allows it to be utilized by players in Survival and Bedrock. Bedrock Edition potions aren't compatible with cauldrons, unlike Java Edition. Similarly, using a potion in a cauldron that is full drains the contents and refills the bottle.

Finally, there are simmering potions that are made using splash and dragon breath potions. Redstone can be added to lingering potions to enhance their effect. The table of potions has been rearranged to appear more like the Java Edition. New potions are also added, for instance, the potion of leaping as well as decomposition.

Trinkets

A trinket is an ornament that is small and inexpensive or piece of jewelry. It may also refer to an object or decoration that serves a function but is not particularly important, such as a thimble. In certain cultures, a trinket can be used to express friendship or affection between family members.

In addition to weapons, armor and potions, players can upgrade their trinkets. Upgrades can be made by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. Unlike other item upgrades, trinkets can be exchanged at will without losing their status.

The upgrade vendors can be found in major cities and in the capital of each zone, as well as in some cases, dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are purchased with gold, tokens or fragments of rare trinkets.

The upgrade of a trinket can be a cost-effective alternative to purchasing a new one. One can upgrade a trinket with just 12 tokens. The new trinket comes with the same base level as the old trinket, but will also have an additional bonus of 1% upgrade.

Once the old Trinkets are no longer usable they can be upgraded. This allows players to increase their power and value over time. They can also be traded between players and are an attractive alternative to gold.

In general, players should upgrade their top-priority items first. This usually means the best-in-slot items for their class, followed by their secondaries, and finally other items of gear will not be replaced in the near future (for example rings or cloaks). When deciding on which items to upgrade, players must also consider the preferred statistics of their class. For instance If Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for tanks, they should prioritize upgrading their helm, chest shoulders, belt, and helm.

Trinkets are able to be upgraded to a higher level once they're no longer needed, and the new trinket will have an additional bonus of 1% for upgrading. Re-upgrading can cause damage to the trinket unless it is saved using the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a salvage tool. Upgrades to trinkets can be more expensive than other upgrades but still less expensive than purchasing new ones.
