World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading

Item upgrading allows players to boost the gear score of an item to 700 and add a final perk. Items can be upgraded by keeping them in inventory before heading to the kiln.

Certain items can be upp'd to benefit from their unique stats (like a perfectly broken point armour that is rolled for melee PvP) and others, like weapons, don't change much post upgrade, so they aren't worth upgrading.

Weapons

Weapons can be upgraded to increase their numeric stats like the chance to crit, attack damage, PvE and PvP damage. Weapons come with a flat rate bonus that increases damage per second. Some weapons also have a fixed bonus that is activated when three or more identical weapons are used in a unit. In some cases this bonus can add up to more than the amount of damage a weapon upgrades on its own.

A weapon's upgrade costs depend on the nature of the weapon as well as its current level. For instance, an upgrade to a +2 weapon requires two regular Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade the gun will increase until it requires a higher level of Smithing Stones. At that point it will reset to one.

Upgrades to weapons also alter the stats of their base. While this is generally beneficial, it can have some negative consequences as well. In the case of items that are only used in a certain build (Whistant's shield for FB sorcs for instance) upgrading them can make them unusable unless you happen to have an extremely lucky roll.

Armor items can be upgraded to improve their effectiveness. This can boost the defense base of a chest or helm as well as belts and gloves. These can boost their strength and agility. Armor also has an option to reroll its Enhanced Defense percent, which means that it could change its roll to a lower value.

The upgrade template for a weapon shows the new stats it will gain when upgraded, along with their relative values. This means that an upgrade from an 8 attack-damage sword to an 11-attack-damage sword would result in the weapon gaining an attack damage of 3. The 3% does not mean that the weapon will hit 3 times less, as it is an absolute number.

Rerolling Cases gg Links to an external site. is possible by pressing the green button within the item menu with the arrows that are circling. This will reroll an item and alter its stats but not reset the weapon's level or connect it to an account's status.

Armor

Adding a few upgrades to your armor can make huge differences in your ability to endure. Certain sets can provide MASSIVE increases in resistance to curses, poison, fire, and magic. This can make it easier to navigate difficult terrains. In general, the greater defense you can offer your character, the greater health you will receive from each point. Therefore, it is recommended to upgrade your armor.

To improve your armor, head to one of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four fountains in all and each one requires you to complete a special side quest that involves the Stable Trotters musical troupe. After you've completed your main quest, and the corresponding fountains, you'll have the option of talking to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the armor upgrade menu.

The amount of materials required to upgrade each piece of armor will differ. In general, you'll need at anything from three to five Red Chuchu Jellies and ten Rupees for the initial upgrade, and then anywhere from five Rubies and ten Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns for each subsequent upgrade. The Champion Leathers, for instance can be upgraded to an increase of 5 defense rating, which will allow you to remain competitive in frigid environments with a large group of enemies. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other is able to be upgraded to +20 defense to ensure you're able to withstand a rout with your friends.

You can't upgrade armor like weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior then you should concentrate on upgrading your armor to increase physical strength or spell power. It's also worth saving your armor upgrades to use for armor you'll still be wearing at the end of the game, like the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield, or the helmet you'll wear to fight the final boss, the Monter Parts Merchant's mask.

By giving the jeweler 10 Twinkling Titanite in Gerudo Town and you will be able to unlock some perks on your armor. You'll typically want to keep these upgrades to the weapon you'll be using to win the game. For instance the Longsword or Battleaxe. But it's useful to have some upgrades for the armor on your chest and helmets to let you escape some monsters.

Potions

Potions are liquids that when consumed by a player, provide the player with a temporary effect for a short period of time. There are five kinds of potions that have different effects and durations. Certain potions can be upgraded to improve their level of effectiveness. Additionally the effects of certain potions can be enhanced by adding redstone or glowstone dust them.

Potion upgrades cost a specific amount of XP, which can be earned by crafting them using a craft table or the Alchemist's chest. The price of upgrades is dependent on the kind of potion you wish to upgrade, as well as on the item's Mark Level and rarity.

To upgrade a potion, click right on it in your inventory and select the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This will open an GUI where you can choose the potion you want to upgrade and the amount of XP they'll produce when upgraded. Upgrading potions can be done in batches of up to five at a time, and the XP they provide will be added to your current XP total.

Once a potion has been upgraded, it will not degrade until you use it again or break the bottle it's stored in. You can also change the name of the potion by clicking on it in your inventory.

Version 1.7.2 introduced a few modifications to the mechanics of potions. For instance, splash potions now have an average duration of 0.08 seconds (this is not the same as 22.5 seconds that are displayed on the item hover display). The table for potion can now be constructed using four Wood Planks and two Glass. This allows it to be used by players in Survival and Bedrock. Unlike the Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions cannot be mixed in cauldrons. This is the same for using a potion in a cauldron that is full. This will draw out the potion, and refill the bottle.

Finally, there are lingering potions that are brewed with splash and dragon breath potions. Redstone can be added to potions that are lingering to increase their effect. The table of potions is arranged more like the Java Edition, and new potions were introduced, including the potion of leaping and the decomposition potion, as well as turtle master potions.

Trinkets

A trinket could be an ornament that is small and inexpensive or piece of jewelry. It can be a reference to a piece of art or a decoration that serves a purpose but isn't particularly significant such as a thimble. In some traditions, trinkets are used to signify friendship or affection, especially between family members.

Players can upgrade trinkets in addition to weapons, armor, and potions. Upgrades can be purchased by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. In contrast to other upgrades for items, trinkets can be traded out at any time without losing their stats.

The upgrade vendors are located in major cities and the capital of each zone, and in some instances in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets can be purchased using tokens, gold or fragments of a rare trinket.

Upgrades are a cost-effective alternative to buying a new trinket. You can upgrade a trinket with as little as 12 tokens. The new trinket will come with the same base ilvl as the older one, and come with an additional upgrade bonus of 1.

Once the old Trinkets are no longer usable, they can be upgraded. This allows players to increase both their power and value over time. They can also be traded between players, making them a popular alternative to gold.

In general players should upgrade their most important items first. This means that the top-in slot items for each class are upgraded first before their secondary gear and other pieces of equipment that won't be replacing anytime soon (such as an earring or a cloak). When choosing the items to upgrade, players should also be aware of the class's preferred stats. For instance If Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for tankers, they should prioritize upgrading their helm, chest shoulders, belt, and chest.

Trinkets can be upgraded to a higher ilvl after they are no longer useful, and the new trinket can be upgraded to have an additional bonus of 1% for upgrading. However, a re-upgrade is likely to destroy the old trinket until it is saved using a Black Lion Salvage Kit or a higher-tier salvage tool. This means upgrading trinkets is more expensive than other upgrades, however it is still cheaper than purchasing the new one.
