Path of Exile Item Upgrading

The most effective way to upgrade your gear in Path of Exile is through upgrading your items. This lets you upgrade your gear without having rely on expensive trades or drops. This article will teach you how to upgrade your items.

Upgrades to equipment give an increase in the item's stats. The bonus is based on the rarity and strength of the upgrade component.

Components

Upgrade components make your armour and weapons stronger. You can find them by destroying enemies, buying them from karma sellers or finding them in the form of item-spheres. They can also be salvaged from equipment with them, or by utilizing an advanced salvage kit such as the Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool. In contrast to other items upgrades aren't destroyed when removed from an item.

Upgrade components are typically used to improve an item but they can also be used for other purposes. They can be stacked in order to increase the level or the amount of experience gained by upgrading equipment or weapons. They can also be made to provide extra bonuses. A crafted glyph can increase the upgrade chances of its target, and a boost upgrade increases the defense or attack capabilities of a weapon.

You can connect an upgrade template to an item by selecting it from the edition GUI. This will display the upgrade components that the item can be upgraded. You can also use the workbench to selecting an upgrade template. In either scenario, an item will be upgraded after enough upgrade components have been gathered.

Each component has a unique experience multiplier. This determines the amount of experience an item will gain when upgraded with that component. For instance, organic components have a more experience multipliers than mechanical ones. It is recommended to upgrade the organic components first, until you reach the next level in the weapon or equipment then switch to mechanical upgrades.

Each item has an upgrade maximum number that it is possible to receive. The number of upgrades are determined by its upgradeable rank and the upgrade type of the upgradeable item. The most powerful upgrade is a weapon that is tier 10. The most common weapon upgrade is a gun of tier 6 and an armor upgrade for tier 5.

Sets

A set is a set of items which all have the same bonus. Each item in the set can be upgraded at least once, and the upgrade increases its guaranteed bonuses. When you first upgrade the set piece or weapon is that it will be given an increase of +1 to its primary stat. After subsequent upgrades, the primary stats are boosted even further (for instance the +1 bonus for 12+/13+/14+) and each time an item is upgraded, one of its additional stats is increased randomly.

The upgrade of a weapon can increase its damage base, which can be necessary for certain builds. However, weapons can't be upgraded to a higher defense level than their normal base. It is a good option to increase the value of certain sets and unique items, however it is important to keep in mind that they're not necessarily better than a high-level runeword in any build.

If the item you're upgrading comes with a guaranteed bonus, it can be rerolled a few times and its guarantee will be reset to 0. Rerolling will cost the same amount of power dice as bringing an item up, but the new item will offer various bonuses. Upgrades can be made through the NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko in the Central Flarine. To upgrade an item, you'll need a power die of each kind (Dice 4 or 6 drop from monsters 21+ and Giants; Dice 7 drops from bosses) and the appropriate amount of Minerals and Erons. These can be purchased by using Gold at the crafting table, or in the Ultra Collection. The NPC will also give a special reward for every tier that is completed of the upgrade process. This reward can be rerolled one time with the same materials and components as the first item.

Rerolling

upgrade item Links to an external site. can roll any item they have acquired in the game provided they have enough reroll tokens to be able to do so. When an upgraded item gets to be rerolled, it will be exchanged for the version that is level 1 of the same item from a different set. Reroll tokens can be purchased at the store for a small amount of in-game currency. They are non-refundable. The new item upgraded will still come with the extra bonuses of the original one however, its stats will be different too.

In addition to rerolling items players can also alter the identification of any equipment by interfacing with an upgrader NPC. This will change the identity from a weapon to armor or vice versa, all the while maintaining its base stats and attributes that are required. The change will last for a long time and affect all characters who have the gear.

Players can also boost the level of an item equipped equipment by obtaining upgrade components and interacting with the upgrader NPC of the item. The cost will vary depending on the upgrade track, the item type and the number of crests. Each upgrade will add an additional 5% of damage to weapons.

Upgrades can increase the capability of an item, however they also decrease the quality of an item. Therefore, it is important to find a balance between these two. Some items are not worth upgrading, while other items need to be upgraded to reach their full potential. A player might want to upgrade the breakpoint armor by adding an interesting modifier (% block chance or FHR) in order to explore what else it can become.

The main reason people are able to reroll in Genshin Impact, or in any gacha-based game, is that they're trying to get a specific weapon or character that they wouldn't otherwise be able to acquire. These items can be costly and time-consuming to acquire, and the RNG does not always work in a positive way. The only other options are to invest money or grind extensively. Rerolling is a very popular option in Genshin Impact.

Leveling

You can decide to upgrade the weapon or armor when you upgrade an item. This feature isn't available in the current version of the game. I believe it was designed to to add value to rare items, but because equipment generally drops quickly and is only upgraded one level up it is likely that you will replace the item before it gets too old. It's also not worth it to level items that have gem sockets since the value of the gem will be greater than the increased ilvl that comes with the upgrade.

You will see a small box when you click the upgrade option on an item. It will display the template for the item, its crest, and the Valorstone cost to raise the item level. Weapons and armor will have different costs, with the former generally being more expensive. The upgrade template outlines the stats that will be added to the upgraded item and also lists its current ilvl.

The cost of the Valorstone and Crest is calculated using the item's current Ilvl and the upgrade templates. The ilvl will also be decreased by the upgrade templates lvl reduction percentage. For example an upgrade of 8% will decrease the weapon's ilvl by 8 to 8%.

In addition to the increase in ilvl base the item will also get upgrades in other stats like critical strike damage, PvE damage, dodge, block, and parry rating. These upgrades are also based on the upgrade template.

In the upgrade template you can check the amount of damage or defense that the item will suffer after being leveled up. This is displayed below the cost and upgrade percentages. Apart from the practice equipment, all items and armor get these same stats when leveled up. The value of these additional stats will be determined by the market, with a rolled perfect version of a piece of armor or weapon able to command much more trade value than non-upp'd versions. This is also true for other pieces of armor such as tiaras and circlets.
