Path of Exile Item Upgrading

In Path of Exile, item upgrading is one of the most effective ways to upgrade your gear without relying upon massive drops or trade. This article will teach you how to upp your gear effectively.

Upgrades in equipment can add a bonus to the item's base stats. This bonus scales depending on the rarity and strength of the upgrade component.

Components

Upgrade components are the items that improve your armor and weapons better. You can find them through destroying enemies, buying them from karma vendors or finding them in items-spheres. They can also be salvaged from equipment that has them or by using a high-tier salvage kit such as the Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool. Unlike most other items upgrades aren't destroyed when removed from an item.

The main function of upgrade components is to allow an item to be upgraded, however, they also serve other purposes. They can be used to increase the level of an upgradeable item, or they can be used to increase the experience gained by upgrading an existing weapon or piece of gear. They can be forged to give extra bonuses. A glyph that is crafted can boost the upgrade chances of its target while boost upgrades increase the attack or defense capabilities of weapons.

You can attach an upgrade template to an item by selecting it from the edition GUI. This will display the list of upgrade components that the item can be upgraded to. You can also use the workbench when selecting an upgrade template. In either scenario, an item will be upgraded after enough upgrade components have been gathered.

Each component has its own experience multiplier that affects how much more experience an item will gain when it upgrades with the component. For instance, organic components have a a higher experience multiplier than mechanical ones. It is therefore best to upgrade with organic components until you reach the experience multiplier for the next rank of the weapon or gear, then change to mechanical upgrades.

Each item comes with an upgrade limit number that can be received. The number of items that can be upgraded is determined by their upgradeable rank and the kind of upgrade they can get. For instance, the highest possible upgrade for a weapon is a tier 10 weapon. The most popular weapon upgrade is a gun with tier 6 and an armor upgrade of tier 5.

Sets

A set is a collection of objects that all share the same bonus. Each item can be upgraded at the least once. The upgrade will increase the amount of bonuses you can expect to receive. The first time you upgrade a set piece or weapon is that it will be given a +1 increase to its primary stat. Following upgrades, primary stats are increased even more (for instance +1 for 12+/13+/14+) and each time an item is upgraded, one of its additional stats increases randomly.

Upgrades can also increase the damage base of a weapon. This can be crucial for certain types of builds. However, weapons can't be upgraded to have a greater maximum defense roll than their normal base. Upgrades can be a great method to increase the value of certain sets and unique items, however it's important to note that they may not be better than a high-level runeword in any build.

If you're upgrading an item that has a bonus, the item can be rerolled one time, and its guarantee will reset back to 0. Rerolling costs the same amount of power dice as leveling an item up, but the upgraded item will come with different extra bonuses. Upgrades can be made through the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine. To upgrade an item, you will require the proper amount of Minerals and Erons as well as a power dice of each type. They can be purchased with Gold at the crafting table, or in the Ultra Collection. The NPCs will also offer special rewards for each stage of the upgrade process. The reward can be rerolled a single time using the same materials as original item.

Rerolling

A player is able to reroll any item acquired during the game, provided they have enough tokens to do so. When an upgraded item is being rerolled, it can be exchanged for the version at a level 1 of the same item in a different set. Cases gg can be bought at the store for a small amount of in-game currency. However, they aren't refundable. The new item will offer the same bonus features like the first, however the statistics will also differ.

In addition to rerolling objects, players can also alter the identification of any item by interfacing with an upgrader NPC. This will change the identification from a weapon to armor or vice versa, while keeping its basic stats and required attributes. The change will last for a long time and affect all characters who own the equipment.

The player can also upgrade the level of the item for any equipment equipped. This can be done by talking to an upgrader NPC and obtaining upgrade components. This will cost a set number of crests and Valorstones according to the upgrade track and the item kind. For weapons, each step up will add five percent to the damage.

The upgrade of an item can make it more powerful however, it can also lower its quality. It is therefore important to find a balance between the two. Certain items aren't worth upgrading, while others need to be upgraded to maximize their potential. One player may wish to upgrade breakpoint armor with an interesting modifier ( percent block chance or FHR) to explore what else it can become.

Rerolling is a common practice in Genshin Impact and other gacha-based games. People do it to gain access to the character or weapon they would not otherwise be able to acquire. These items can be expensive and time-consuming, and the RNG gods aren't always willing to play ball. The only alternative is to spend real money or grind a lot. Rerolling is extremely popular in Genshin Impact.

Leveling

When upgrading an item, you can level up the weapon or armor. This feature is not available in the current version of the game. I think this feature was designed to add some value to expensive and rare items. However, since the majority of gear is replaced fairly quickly and can only be leveled up one level, you will typically replace it before it is too old. It's also not worth it to upgrade items with gem sockets because the power of the gem will be greater than the increased ilvl that comes with the upgrade.

You will be presented with a small box when you click on the upgrade option on an item. It will show the item's template, the Crest, as well as the cost of Valorstone to increase the item's level. Armor and weapons will have different prices, with the latter generally being more expensive. The upgrade template lists the statistics that will be added to the upgraded item and will also list its current base ilvl.

The cost of the Valorstone and Crest is calculated using the current Ilvl of the item as well as the upgrade templates. Additionally the ilvl of a new upgraded item will be decreased by the template's lvl decrease percentage. For example, an upgrade of 8% can reduce the ilvl of a weapon by 8 to 88%.

The item will get upgrades to other stats, such as critical strike damage, PvE damage, and block, parry, and dodge rating, in addition to the base level. These increases are dependent on the upgrade template.

In the upgrade template, you can determine the amount of damage or defense the item will suffer after being leveled up. This is listed below the cost as well as the upgrade percentages. Aside from equipment for practice, all weapons and armor gain these same stats when leveled up. The market will determine the worth of these stats. A weapon or armor that has perfect rolls can command an incredibly higher price than a non-upp’d version. This is also true for other pieces of armor like tiaras or circlets.
