It's fingerprint-resistant, too. If
french door fridge freezer worried about smudges on your furniture, look into a cleaning product that removes fingerprints without harsh chemicals.
This refrigerator features a generous interior space of 20.5 cubic feet, and Bosch's patented farmfresh system with four cutting-edge freshness technology which keep fruits, vegetables and leftovers at least three times longer than the average. The temperature of the freezer is near-perfect, with a range of less than a fraction off of the ideal.
The Bosch refrigerator costs more than the GE Appliances version, but it has more features. It is worth the extra expense. It has a door-in the door storage space where you can keep small quantities of food in a bin which is able to fit right into the fridge door. It also comes with a convertible compartment that has five temperature settings for different types of drinks, snacks and meat. The Bosch fridge comes with a smart home feature called Home Connect which lets you control it remotely using your phone or tablet.
The only downsides of the refrigerator is its flimsy main drawer and the difficult-to-use door latch on the right. The fridge is an excellent choice for kitchenettes and single households that require more storage space than a standard French-door fridge can offer. The stainless steel finishes any kitchen beautifully.
LG Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator
LG counter-depth refrigerators pack a lot of storage in small footprints. They're also priced less than standard-depth French door fridges and can eliminate the necessity for a separate, smaller under-counter freezer. The LG Smart Mirror InstaView Counter-Depth Refrigerator (LMWC23626S) is a refrigerator that has the capacity of a standard refrigerator in a sleek and modern design, is no exception. It also comes with an internal dispenser that provides easy access to filtered drinking water.
This model's exterior showcases a fingerprint-resistant stainless steel finish and a mirrored InstaView panel that adds to the modern look of the interior. The door bins are roomy, and the top right shelf can be folded down to create a half-depth shelves that permit higher-height items to fit. The bottom of the refrigerator has a set of more crisp drawers, and the full width deli drawer is ideal for meat or fresh produce.
A recessible ice maker is located on the back wall of the refrigerator. This helps to save space and allows you to store an extra bag of ice. The refrigerator has door-cooling, which uses vents in the fridge and freezer doors to let cold air enter the refrigerator. It helps to prevent hot spots and keeps temperatures more uniform throughout the refrigerator.
This LG refrigerator is a standout in our tests, and comes with plenty of capacity to feed a family however, it has a few quirks that we found to be annoying. The drawers for the freezer aren't as cold as we'd like. The middle drawer sat at 41 degrees during our peak usage test which is warm enough for ice cream and other frozen foods. The temperature in the rest of your freezer remained at about 36 degrees.
Another issue is that the refrigerator doors have sunken handles on the inside and beneath which makes it difficult for shorter people to comfortably close them. It may seem like a minor issue however we prefer front-mounted handles on refrigerators because they're easier to open and close.
This refrigerator is expensive, but it's well worth the investment for anyone looking to have an ultra-sleek look in their kitchen. We recommend this refrigerator for those looking to upgrade their current fridge or are building a brand new home and want a more integrated look in the kitchen.
Samsung Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator
Samsung's newest counter-depth French-door fridge called the RF23M8090SG, is priced at $4200. It's a good-looking model that boasts useful features like an autofill water pitcher and a temperature-adjustable "FlexZone" drawer. It also performed well in our cooling test, however we're not a fan of the gimmicky handles or the fragile crisper bins.
Bespoke is one of the features that makes the RF23M8090SG stand out. It lets you personalize your refrigerator with removable colored panels. There are 11 different colors that range from soft pastels to more vibrant hues, and four metallic finishes. These panels can be personalized to include photos or text. This gives the fridge a more personal touch and can be matched to your Rick Owens dress, Andy Warhol banana neon, or tie-dye Crocs.
You can even alter the color of the refrigerator's LED lighting, which is nice. And the refrigerator's interior is finished with a sophisticated finish that reduces smudges and makes cleaning much easier. The RF23M8090SG's only real knocks are its slightly cramped beverage center as well as some learning curve in opening the door-indoor feature that houses a water pitcher and a dispenser. You have to feel for an unmarked lever on the underside of the door halfway across, and when you've done that, it opens a second door within the fridge that contains the docking station for pitchers, the water dispenser and two shelves for drinks.
The 6.8 cubic feet freezer compartment is big enough to store a lot frozen food. It also comes with a slide-out drawer that allows you to access the food you want without having to open the entire compartment. The freezer also has an open-air compartment that can be used for storing small items and a huge capacity storage drawer to store larger frozen items. This drawer is locked with a password, ensuring that any unwanted guests are kept out. It also comes with an LED that lets you see what's in it at a glance. The freezer can also track energy use and help you reduce your power bill with the SmartThings with smart-enabled Energy mode.
Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator
French door refrigerators are a wonderful addition to any kitchen. They are sleek and work well in any size of room. Counter-depth refrigerators are the ideal option for those who want this design, but without the added height. We've tested many of models, and this Frigidaire model has a higher than average score in our ratings due to its affordable price and thoughtful features like an adjustable temperature drawer.
It also has some annoying problems. Our test data indicates that the FGHB2866PF warms up quite some in the freezer, and can be uncomfortable warm in the fridge's innermost shelves. Our heat maps show how temperature fluctuates minute by minute. The orange region in the upper right corner, which is the butter bin, is especially warm throughout our time of testing. It might not seem to be a problem initially however, the fridge is spending most of its time above 32 degrees.
It's also worth mentioning that the FGHB2866PF isn't an Energy Star-certified model. This could be a factor for some buyers. But the real problem here is that it's not a particularly great fridge, and the absence of top-of-the-line features and durable construction make it difficult to recommend over more expensive options in this price range.
In many ways, this Frigidaire feels like the stainless-steel version of a fridge you might see at the local appliance store. It's a great option with a brushed-finish that looks nice and is resistant to streaks. However it's not able to differentiate itself from rivals that are more feature-rich and cost less.
If you're looking for a counter-depth French-door refrigerator but don't want to spend an excessive amount of money the FGHC2331PF could be worth a look. It has enough storage to meet the requirements of the majority of families and does a good job at keeping food fresh. And even if it isn't an energy-efficient model, it doesn't have the same price tag the same amount as our top-rated models do.
