Best 3 Wheel Pushchairs

All-terrain stroller is light, durable and offers great maneuverability. Its one-hand fold is compact, which means it's easy to transport and freestanding when folded. The cushioned seat reclines to a near-flat position, and there's a huge storage bin and canopy. The suitability for newborns is yes it comes with a carrycot (not suitable for sleeping overnight).

Air-filled tyres and a good suspension can handle rough terrain. You can also use it to jog. However, you must wait until your baby is at least 6 or 9 months old.

Ickle Bubba Air

This lightweight pushchair from Ickle Bubba is packed with lots of features that parents will love. It is a travel system, which includes a lie-flat carrycot suitable for infants, a multi-position forward and rear facing pushchair, and a choice of group 0+ car seat, so you can get everything you need in one place.

The XL Air is a really impressive car and it's simple to see why it's received so many high marks from customers. It's extremely light - the chassis and wheels weigh only 6.5kg and it's super-easy to construct. In fact, I was able to put it up and running in just five minutes, which is pretty impressive considering it included a strapping of the fabric for the carrycot!

It has a lovely wide seat that is comfortable for Annie (who is 12 months) and the recline lever is very simple to use. There's a good amount of room inside the basket and I am awestruck by the fact that it comes with a zip-up compartment in the handle bar so that you can keep your phone and keys safe!

The only downside is the handlebar is low, which can be an issue for parents who are taller. It's covered in a soft, comfy leather-like material that is easy to wipe down.

Hauck Pushchair Runner

The Runner is designed for parents who enjoy exploring and are always on the go. 3 wheeled pushchair can be utilized on field and forest paths. The front wheel can be locked and swivels to increase the flexibility. 3 wheel buggy comes with 5-point safety harness with a front bar that keeps your child safe during all journeys. The parking brake will keep the stroller on its feet while you rest. The seat can be repositioned to lay flat and the canopy can be opened to allow maximum air circulation on hot days. The handle can be height-adjusted by more than 30 cm to accommodate dad or mum's heights.

The Runner will accompany you on any adventure, whether it's a quick jog, a longer hike or a long-distance trek. It has a fully-flat lay-flat seat that has suspension air wheels to ensure an easy ride. The front wheel can be locked to provide more stability on narrow streets and crowded sidewalks, and the stroller folds easily to fit into car boot spaces and storage areas.

The Runner 2 is a bit more difficult to maneuver for some parents than its predecessor. Additionally, the locking system (requiring two buttons on either side of the handlebar) is less user-friendly. The handlebars are a bit higher than the ones of other competitors, which means they may not be suitable for taller parents. However, this stroller is sturdy and a lot of fun and is a good option by families with active children.

Red Kite Push Me pacing

The Pace is another great offering from Red Kite, an affordable British brand that is known for its easy-to-use and simple essentials for parents. It's their latest and most expensive addition to their stroller line that is a bargain and lightweight. Like the Ickle Bubba Aurora or Yoyo, it is car seat compatible, meaning you can use from birth.

The new Pace comes with some amazing design elements, including a rose-gold shade on the hood, chassis and stroller trims that really distinguish it from. The stroller and car seat fabrics are stylish in tan, grey, and cream. You can also add a leather handle and bumper bar to complement.

It is suitable from birth up to a maximum weight of 22kg and the stroller seat can easily be converted from the carrycot into a 2-in-1 reversible mode, parent or world-facing. The stroller seat has multi lie-back positions, comfortable padded leg rests and comes with an extendable sun canopy with concealed zip sections, viewing see through flap and an adjustable sun visor.

When folded when folded, the Pace measures 56 33cm x 43cm x 32cm which makes it suitable for hand luggage on Easyjet and Ryanair. It's also a breeze to fold, thanks to two buttons on the handlebar's opposite side that just need to be pressed in and pop up.

Bugaboo Fox 5

Bugaboo's Fox 5 is designed to be the ultimate all-terrain stroller. Its unique chassis comes with a shorter wheel distance, making it more manoeuvrable than its predecessor. I tested it with my two children - an eight-week-old and a toddler - on rough pavements, grassy wooded walks and even cobblestones.

The large, puncture-proof wheels - 22cm or 30cm in size - can handle various terrains. They also have a handy flap that opens or closes to let more air to circulate if you need it, which is a nice touch. It is a little bigger than most pushchairs, but it does not feel heavy or bulky when pushing it across bumpy surfaces.

The fabric of the seat is machine washable and the frame and faux leather grips are simple to wipe down. It's also a lot quieter than many pushchairs and I felt comfortable using it on busy city streets. One of the advantages is that it incorporates accessory points, meaning you can add footmuffs, parasols, changing bags and even a snack tray. You can also use the hood to block out rain and wind, but it isn't particularly waterproof. It's a single stroller, but you can add their Comfort Wheeled Board (not included) to give your child some extra legroom. It took about 20 minutes to set up the bassinet, and the same amount of time to convert it to the seat.

UPPAbaby Ridge

The Ridge is at its best in every city scene, from bustling market stalls for farmers to street musicians performing music. Its spacious basket accommodates your shopping cart and all the essentials for your baby while the large canopy provides sun and wind protection. The oversized front canopy also unzips to reveal two mesh peekaboo windows that make it easy to keep an eye on your child's surroundings.

The Ridge's reversible seat allows you to choose if your child is facing you, or the world ahead. Its simple foot brake system makes it a breeze for parents who are new. The reversible handlebar on the back is a fantastic feature that lets you adjust it to your height. In contrast to other strollers for jogging, the Ridge's fold is reliable and stays self-standing while folded.

iCandy Core

iCandy's new pushchair is truly innovative and has a lot of features that are really likely to impress parents. It features a Multi-Mode wheelbase and a pioneering LED Visibility Hub Light that is an innovation for the industry. It features an integrated Ride-on Board that saves on future costs, and lets tired toddlers accompany their parents on outings.

The Core is available as an entire travel system or as a single seat. It works with most popular car seats, including those from Cybex Maxi Cosi Joie. It also has the biggest seat in the iCandy range, which means it will last your baby's early years and beyond. It's a beautifully designed pushchair that has premium knitted fabrics. The parent's adjustable handlebar and child's bumper bar that can be detached are made of soft leatherette. The folding calf support folds away and is extremely comfortable for children.

It was impressive how easily it collapsed and folded, even with the seat unit still attached. It fits easily in your boot or hallway, making it ideal for travelling. The iCandy Core comes with lots of additional accessories, including a rucksack with a color match and a liner/footmuff.
