Why Buy a 3 Wheeler Buggy?

If you are a fan of a morning jog an e-bike with three wheels could be a good choice for you. They are equipped with larger wheels, which give a smoother ride, however they can be more bulky to store and require a bigger car boot.

If you want to use your pushchair on outdoor walks look into models with air-filled tires (also known as pneumatic). They are able to handle rough terrain and have a front wheel that can be locked to ensure greater stability.

What is a 3 wheeler buggy?

If you're off-road or in the city, a 3-wheel buggy provides greater maneuverability. They are easy to handle and turn on a dime and have passed all stability tests. The sling seat made of fabric is positioned snugly inside the frame, not on top like modular seats. This design results in having a lower center of gravity, which makes it easier to push your buggy. 3 wheeler pushchair (r) even comes with an original design sport verso(tm) which is a three wheelin' inline chassis that expands with your family - from a parent's face infant carrier to toddler ride-on boards.

Are you planning to go "off-road"?

It's important for those who want to explore off-road, and are more adventurous that their buggy is able to cope with rough terrain. You need a sturdy suspension system to absorb bumps and large wheels that have air-filled tyres that provide excellent grip on rough surfaces. A lockable front wheel is also a great option for stability when running on rougher surfaces.

MFM reviewer Kath really put this fun lovin' buggy to the test while driving it across rough cobbles, grass and dirt tracks with her newborn and 3 year old. She also she said "it did everything without difficulty, and was even pleasant to jog on. The 16'' rear wheels and lockable'swivel' front wheel give great stability when tackling roadsides or uneven surfaces, and the tyres come with a suspension built-in for an easy ride."

Sport verso is another world first. It's a fantastic single buggy, but it can easily be modified to accommodate two (or more!) when your family grows all within the footprint of a single buggy! The fabric sling seat fits comfortably inside the frame at the ideal height to ensure a perfect weight distribution, instantly providing a more easy push, a lighter curb pop and better maneuverability over any terrain.

Do you want to go 'around town'?

A 3 wheel buggy has a single wheel at the front and two wheels in the rear. Depending on the model the wheel can be free to rotate or can be locked, so that the buggy is able to travel in straight lines. Their USP is that they are incredibly manoeuvrable and easy to steer and often come with suspension (which is useful for difficult terrain) and tyres with air-filled tyres, so the ride is soft and comfortable. This means they are great for everyday use in the city and are usually capable of handling kerb popping and also be capable of going off-road too.

As with all buggys, it is crucial to drive with a sense of responsibility and avoid being distracted by your mobile phone, tablet or other device. Avoid driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs as it could affect your judgment and reaction time. Be sure to check the footprint of your buggy once it is fully folded to ensure it will fit in your car.

If you are looking for an infant stroller that can take you from the park to the shops then look for one that has large shopping baskets and great features like an upholstered handle, a strong brake pedal (that will stop when you hit a slope) and a huge, extendable 50+ sun canopy. MFM reviewer Kath particularly enjoyed the sling seat made of fabric that features an automatic lie-flat baby bed, and found the seat to be placed perfectly within the frame for good weight distribution - but it was noted that the triangular frame is not the storage capacity of the 4 wheeler.

With the incredible maneuverability this fun lovin' 3-wheeler can provide, it is perfect for urban adventures too. MFM reviewer Kath tried it out and found that it was able to traverse bumpy sidewalks, grass and cobbles with ease. It also performed well on the kerb pops around town, since the fabric sling seat sits perfectly inside the frame at just the right height to allow for the best weight distribution. It can easily push and lift it over them.

This buggy can also be used for jogging, since it has locking swivel wheels that can be locked on the front, and a'snug and stretch' tyre that gives an easy ride. The only drawback to the big wheels is that it may be difficult to fold down into smaller spaces. It's got many impressive storage features that can make up for it! It has a large basket and a zippered rear pocket.
