Lightest Double Stroller
If you're looking for a light double-stroller that folds, the size and weight are important aspects to take into consideration. Selecting a stroller that is simple to use and compact when not in use will make it easier to fit into the trunk of your car and maneuver through airport security and other foreign streets.
The most lightweight strollers have a light, intuitive fold and self-standing mechanisms to reduce the strain on parents' bodies. Several also have a wide variety of seating options and can accommodate infant car seat carriers.
Kolcraft Cloud Plus
The perfect product for families who are always on the move. Compact and light weight, it has an easy fold with one hand. The all-terrain wheels and front suspension and the multi-position reclining seat, can be used for children up 50 pounds. The tray for parents and children, large storage basket, and 3-tiered extended canopy with windows that peek out at the sun provide maximum protection.
double buggy
Links to an external site. was awarded one of the lowest marks in our quality tests because it has a thin seat, made of hard plastic, and a style that is dated. It's also more expensive than other strollers that are lighter, so it's not a good choice if you're looking for a budget alternative.
It's not the lightest stroller but it comes with enough features to make it worth a look. The swiveling wheels make it easy to maneuver it on flat surfaces. It can also leap over curbs with ease. The low handle of the Cloud is a drawback however, as it's at knee height and not adjustable. It's not a comfortable thing to push with your legs dangling in the air like that and it's not helping that it lacks padding.
During our tests during our testing, we found the Cloud to be simple to set up and open. It's a little more challenging to close the cloud, however. You have to slide a slider, and then pull a big white button for it to collapse. This can be frustrating particularly if you're trying to keep track of kids at the same time.
The Cloud comes with a small but deep storage basket that could be used to fit a medium-sized diaper bag. It's a bit narrow however it's likely that you'll need to put something in to reach the back to take it out. The Cloud comes with two tray for parents and children with two cup holders however both are too narrow to hold larger bottles or cups.
Kolcraft is an established family business that has been in operation since 1946. They started by manufacturing crib pads and diapers however, they now manufacture several baby products, such as highchairs and infant car seats. The company is based in Chicago, and is an American manufacturer.
Jeep Destination Ultralight SBS
Jeep Destination Ultralight SBS is a lightweight and minimalist double stroller that is great to travel with. It weighs only 18 lbs, which is lighter than some single strollers. and it folds flat for easy transportation and storage. It also comes with independently reclined seats and large all-weather SPF 50 sun visors with windows that peek out and extra-large under-seat storage bags. The visors are adjustable to accommodate children of different heights. It also has a one-step linked parking brake, and is Disney-size approved.
Jeep's swivel wheel system is also ideal for maneuvering over bumps and uneven terrain. However, this stroller doesn't accept car seats, so your little ones must be at least 6+ months old and have good neck control to ride in the front seat. The stroller comes with an umbrella sun canopy with three panels and each seat comes with a cupholder and snack tray.
Another extremely light side-by-side stroller is Valco Baby Snap Duo Trend. It's heavier than the Kolcraft Cloud Plus at 23 lbs, but it's thin and slim (26.5 inches wide!) and has a ton of luxe features that make it perfect for travel. It is easy to fold and very easy to move around. It also is easily able to fit in the overhead compartments and the trunks of planes.
Similar to the Summer Infant 3D Pac CS+ Double and Mountain Buggy Nano Duo, the Joovy Kooper X2 is another tri-fold ultralight double stroller. It is similar to the Jeep Destination Ultralight SBS but has a few key distinctions. It's a little more expensive, but offers a more shady sun canopy and more maneuverability. It also comes with a handy carry strap and can accommodate children up to 44 pounds per seat.
Summer 3D Pac for Infants CS+
If you're looking for a stroller that's light in weight but also packed with features, look no further than Summer Infant 3D Pac CS+. It is not only incredibly lightweight at just 13 lbs but also has plenty of storage options, including cupholders for both parents and children and a sippy-cup bag for the child and a parent's storage pouch, etc. It can also be used with a child's car seat and features a brake that can be used flip-flop. This stroller is designed to grow with your child. It can be converted from a baby stroller to an adult stroller by attaching the car seat adapters (sold separate) and is suitable for children 6 months and up.
Another thing to note about this stroller is that it runs on swivel wheels and doesn't come with locking capabilities which means it won't be the best option for rocky or hilly terrain. It's still a good choice for families of all sizes, since it is able to be easily maneuvered on pavements and other smooth surfaces.
This is one of the smallest and light double strollers that comes with full-size features. The quick-close feature allows the stroller to fold with just one hand in seconds, and it's small enough to store easily in your garage or trunk. It can be used as a stoller for travel and is compatible with no additional adapters with most car seats.
The Summer Infant 3D Pac CS+ is different from most lightweight travel strollers because it has two distinct seats that can hold up to 100 lbs. The seats feature individual leg rests, as well as three-panel canopy that has flip-out sunvisors and peekaboo window.
The seats are padded to ensure your child's safety. They also have five-point safety harnesses which can be adjusted to three different height positions. Each has a built-in infant cushion, which is great for newborns. Parents will appreciate the cup for both parents and children, as well as the holders, cell phone holder, as well as a large storage basket. The stroller can also be equipped with the Yoyo+ Board, which transforms it into an e-bike.
Joovy Kooper X2
The Kooper X2 double stroller is an excellent choice for parents looking for an easy-to-use double that can accommodate two children. Its sling-style seats are comfortable and provide the same amount of headroom, which allows children to be seated together. Contrary to other strollers with side-by-side seating, the Kooper X2 offers a fully reclined seat, which is an ideal spot to nap. Its recline feature is simple to use, but it's not a perfect flat. Children who are taller may have a leg hanging when in reclined positions. It also comes with a large canopy which we found to be superior in blocking the sun than other strollers in our best double strollers review.
The stroller is light enough to easily navigate through door frames, which was a big issue for us with other models in our testing. It folds quickly and the handlebars are close to the ground for easy transportation. Its only flaw is its small storage space, which is cramped when full of things for kids.
Joovy, a family-owned business, creates innovative, functional and high-quality baby products. Their product line includes innovative baby bottles, such as the Joovy Zoom X2 Double stroller and a unique raincover that fits an array of popular strollers. The bottles are reasonably priced and often come with fun designs that are appealing to children.
During our lab tests of double strollers, our team has evaluated various factors to determine how simple an item is to use, including how easy it is to set up and fold, adjust the safety harness and open and close the brakes, lift and carry the folded stroller as if it were to be placed into a trunk of a car and then install and remove the infant car seat (if appropriate). We also evaluated the durability and strength, as well as whether each model has an adult tray that can accommodate both child trays.
The Joovy Kooper X2 received the highest score in our Strollers Test Program due to its user-friendliness. It also received the top rating in our updated guide to the best double strollers. Its simple-to-use design features one hand, with no tilt recline as well as an enormous canopy with ventilation mesh that you can see through even when it's tilted. There are also individual kid trays, built-in cupholders and pockets with zippers for parents, and a large storage basket.
