The Best Double Buggy Strollers
If you're expecting twins, or have two young children of different ages then a double buggy will help you out and out and. The best ones are easy to manoeuvre and deal with rough surfaces and kerbs.
They also come with features like large sun canopy, see-through hoods and seats that are adjustable.
1. Baby Jogger City Tour Double
The City Tour 2 Double is the smallest double stroller in the Baby Jogger range. It's made for travel and easily fits through the majority of normal doors thanks to its slim design, it's also one of the most lightweight double buggies on the market weighing just 14lbs when folded. This makes it ideal to travel with a baby and toddler because you won't have to exceed the allowances for luggage on airlines. It also folds up to the size of a bag for travel and can be tucked away in the back of your car when it's not being used.
The one-handed Z-shape fold is a breeze, it's incredibly compact when you master it. It takes a few minutes to fold. However our tester found the auto lock to be a bit confusing. Also, since the handlebar isn't locked to its place when you press it, it landed on her legs when she was using it. She also felt that the handlebar was a bit on the short side particularly with a large changing bag hanging off it.
This double stroller isn't as lightweight as other travel buggies. It comes with a wide variety of features, and is one the most versatile double strollers available on the market. It's compatible with two carry cots (available separately) It also features multiple recline positions as well as an UV 50+ canopy. You can even add the bassinet to either or both seats and transform it into a travel set-up.
The four rubber composite wheels are ideal for pavements as well as urban terrain, but they're not built for off-roading. They struggled on long grass and gravel and there's a lack of space between the bracket and the wheel, which means that mud could get stuck easily. Our testers loved this buggy and was able to climb some pretty dirt hills.
2. iCandy Orange
The iCandy Orange is a premium double buggy that is a top choice in design and versatility. It is a must for parents who want high-end design quality, style and quality that lasts. The 2021 update comes with few enhancements, including improved maneuverability, a bigger shopping basket and a redesigned bumper bar with leatherette covers. The seats are moulded and are extremely comfortable. The seats are also adjustable and can be set to meet the needs of siblings. iCandy have included the first ever "cinema" seating system that allows parents to maintain eye contact with both children. They can be adjusted to face either the parent or the world.
It's a heavier tandem buggy but it's very easy to use and steer, especially on smooth roads. It's stable in single and double mode, and even on sloped terrain. It's not as simple to drive on public transport, however, because it requires more than one hand on the handlebar. It's also quite bulky and can't be stuffed into a standard family car boot with the seat in place, however this can be overcome with careful planning. iCandy has included a footmuff, changing bag and car seat adapters in the price so this is an excellent value for parents who are new.

This fashionable and practical city stroller is suitable for twins, a toddler and one or two children with the addition of UPPAbaby's ‘PiggyBack’ board (sold separately). Its sleek frame and compact dimensions make it ideal for shopping malls and crowded city streets. Its swivel wheels on the front and four-wheel suspension allow it to handle rough or uneven terrain.
This buggy is also suitable for families who plan to travel, as it can fit a car seat in the back. It features the one-click fold that secures it and can be used with a wide range of Joie infant car seats. It also comes with a large basket and comfortable seats for both kids. 4. Cybex Gazelle S
If you're expecting twins, this is definitely the stroller you need. It's the first travel system from Cybex and comes with built-in adaptors that make it simple to convert from one pushchair to a double. The upper adaptors are able to slide upwards and downwards to accommodate your height, while the lower ones can be turned around and turned over, making it really easy to change from one configuration to another. The Gazelle's seat units also recline into a nice flat position and come with an extended UV 50+ sun canopy that is a must for your young ones.
It is suitable from birth as a single pushchair, and from 4 years old as a double with the addition of the CLOUD Z i-Size car seat or an additional seat or Gazelle Cot, this is the stroller that is future-proof that adapts to your family. The new safety harness with one-pull allows you to easily secure your child, even when you're wearing your baby on your back.
The Gazelle S is different from other double strollers in that it folds down compactly with both seats tucked away. This makes it easy to store at home, or even in your trunk. A huge lower basket holds up to 25 pounds of shopping, daily essentials or groceries. A detachable shopper basket provides more space for all of your purchases. This stroller is extremely versatile and comfortable for families thanks to its harness that is one-pull and large recline. It also has wheels that are puncture-proof, so you don't need to worry about those unexpected flat tubes during your journeys away from home.

The Nipper Double V5 is a refreshed version from Out 'n' About of the award-winning buggies that can be used on all terrains. It was designed for twins or siblings, and comes with recliner chairs that are independent, compatible with carrycots and a lightweight framework for easy manoeuvrability on bumpy terrain.
The height-adjustable handle and rear wheel suspension provide the comfort of children up to 22kg, while the durable pneumatic tyres are easy to clean and provide a smooth ride for running. The 360-degree swivel wheel is able to be locked in place to make it easier to manoeuvre around town. The one-pedal lock brake is also easy to use.
Our testers found that the Nipper Double is incredibly easy to maneuver, even on uneven terrain or turning into an area with a lot of traffic. They were also awed by the fact that both seats recline independently, meaning they can be adjusted to meet the individual's needs. This is ideal for napping.

The hoods were also simple to adjust for sun or wind protection. They did not offer the same amount of coverage as the Baby Jogger City Mini Hoods.

Overall, our test participants were impressed with the Nipper double's capacity to let them take their twin daughters Sydney and Lyla to all kinds of adventures. From seeing wildlife in the forest or rushing to a park for a playdate they were thrilled. The testers were also impressed with how spacious and comfortable the two seats are. There is plenty of room for toddlers who are growing. Our testers did note, however, that the absence of parent-facing seating and the inability of using car seats with this buggy was a drawback, and they would have liked to have more storage space for shopping and other gear.
