NBA star Jamal Murray (27) is expected to sign a four-year extension with his team Denver soon.

"Denver is working hard to extend his four-year contract with Murray by up to $209 million (W289.9 billion) this offseason," Shams Sharania of global sports media The Athletic said on his social media on Friday. "We look forward to an agreement between the two sides."

Murray, who was drafted by Denver with the seventh pick in the first round of the 2016 NBA Draft, has been the team's flagship guard all along. In April 2021, he had some bad news that he had not been on the court for a year and a half due to a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament, but he returned in October 2022 and led the team to championship last season with the team's one-two punch along with Nikola Jokic.

Murray played an average of 31.5 minutes in 59 games during the 2023-24 season, recording 21.2 points, 4.1 rebounds, 6.5 assists, and 1.0 steals. His career-high 42.5 percent (average of 2.5 assists) was recorded in the three-point shootout. Murray was also an active player in the playoffs this season. He averaged 38.5 minutes in 12 games, leaving him with 20.6 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 5.6 assists. 슬롯사이트 순위

Denver, which beat the Los Angeles Lakers 4-1, lost to Minnesota 3-4 after a close game, frustrating its dream of losing two consecutive games.

Murray will play for Canada at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
