Concurrent with National Troubles Gambling Month, Caesars Entertainment, the world's most diverse casino entertainment provider, announced two new policies that further strengthen its commitment to responsible gaming. Already leading the promotion of responsible gaming tools that allow guests to manage their play, Caesars is expanding its own exclusion program by implementing the industry's broadest universal exclusion policy, which will apply across the company's robust gaming portfolio. In addition, the company is adopting an enhanced 21+ gaming policy that limits Caesars Rewards accounts to individuals 21 and older and limits all legally permitted domestic, Paris mutual, sports, and iGaming options to those 21 and older.
"As the largest gaming company in North America, we have a special responsibility to ensure that everything we do is built on a solid foundation of responsible gaming. We take that responsibility very seriously, and these new policies reflect that commitment," said Tom League, CEO of Caesars Entertainment. "We are now pleased that when someone says that it is no longer in their best interest to us, the mobile app allows them to be excluded from local property or state exclusion programs, as well as to be excluded in simple steps from any gaming platform we offer. Given our nationwide presence and many products, we are confident that it is in the best interest of our company and our community to limit access to all gaming options and our Caesars Rewards database, including those that are traditionally open to people over the age of 18."
The universal exclusion policy will be in place by the end of March, and is the largest exclusion option available in the country. Aside from limited properties that have not yet been fully integrated into Caesars' IT environment, the policy includes Caesars Entertainment's services, including Caesars Sportsbook, iGaming, and offline facilities. All participants on the state-sponsored self-exclusion list run by Caesars will be added to the universal exclusion list for Caesars' gaming facilities and platforms across the enterprise. In addition, anyone can choose to add themselves to this list while ensuring that all gaming permissions, including in-person and online play rights, check cache, credit expansion, mail, marketing, free, and Caesars Rewards benefits, have been revoked.
"Building the platform has been amazing, and we're very proud of our team for the work that's been put into bringing this new feature to life," said Jeffrey Hendricks, SVP & Adviser for Regulatory and Compliance at Caesars Entertainment. "While the implementation of this new policy has been difficult, our goal has been to provide our players with a more comprehensive exclusion option to ensure that everyone who plays with us does so responsibly. We're honored to be able to say we've accomplished that goal, and we now offer the most comprehensive exclusion option in the country."
Historically, under our own exclusion policy, players can request that all rights be denied for one year, five years, or indefinitely. When players request their own exclusion, it applies to all Caesar Entertainment owned, operated, serviced, and managed properties and products. The new feature will be excluded from both mobile and direct bets, with the addition of players who have opted for their own exclusion through the Caesars Sportsbook app.
"NCPG has long enjoyed a great partnership with Caesars Entertainment," said Keith Whyte, executive director of the National Gambling Commission on Issues. "We are pleased that Caesars continues to innovate in responsible gambling advertising, team member training, and corporate social responsibility. Their most recent achievements on universal exclusion policy demonstrate true leadership in the responsible gambling sector."
In addition to its universal exclusion policy, the company has a strengthened 21+ gaming policy in place. In the first half of this year, Caesars will restrict access to its Caesars Rewards database for customers in its jurisdiction, which allows users under the age of 21 to use Caesars products. In addition, where law permits, Caesars limits all domestic gaming, Paris Mutual, sports, and iGaming options to individuals 21 and older. Caesars' new enhanced 21+ gaming policy sets an industry-leading level of limiting gaming activity to those 21 and older.
"Since launching Project 21 in 1989 and establishing the industry's first responsible gaming standard, Caesars Entertainment has remained committed to providing meaningful solutions to problems and underage gaming," said Anthony Carano, president and COO of Caesars Entertainment. "As our company grows, we recognize the importance of supporting messages in a meaningful way throughout the company. Establishing consistent standards regarding age limits underscores our commitment to our customers and the industry."
In addition, Caesars Entertainment's renewed commitment to accountability gaming includes expanding its accountability game education program, introducing a new accountability game board, funding for organizations operating in the field, and announcing nationwide accountability game ads within the last year. Led by Caesars' People's Planet Play framework, which provides directions for the company to integrate and care for team members, communities, and the environment, the initiative includes:
- EDUCATION - Caesars expanded its industry-leading responsible gambling education program with Caesars Sportsbook & Casino, the company's sports betting business. Currently, all full-time and part-time team members at Caesars Entertainment and Caesars Sportsbook & Casino receive responsible gaming training. The program also extends to specialized training for 1,600 responsible gaming ambassadors to identify and help customers who may not be playing responsible games. The Ambassador program has grown by more than 60% since 2021.
- Governance - Caesars recently formed a responsible gaming commission of seven senior leaders to oversee responsible gaming policies on behalf of the company. The commission is made up of individuals from Caesars Entertainment Corporation as a whole to ensure that different perspectives and markets are considered during the evaluation and that the company also acts responsibly.
- Financial Support - Caesars' commitment to accountability gaming extends through their charitable giving platform, the Caesars Foundation. In 2022, Caesars Entertainment and Caesars Foundation donated more than $300,000 to the International Center for Responsible Gambling (ICRG), the National Committee for Problem Gambling, and various responsible game nonprofits for research, education, workforce development, and problem gambling treatment. Caesars is also sponsoring several annual problem gambling conferences in Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Arizona to support Problem Gambling Awareness Month.
- Public Education - Through partnerships with the NFL and the Manning family, Caesars Sportsbook & Casino has developed several responsible gaming ads, including the first responsible gaming ads to air around the Super Bowl during the 2021-2022 season. The company continues to roll out responsible gaming ads, some of which aired around the Super Bowl during the recent NFL season and will continue to air until Madness in March. The ads will air locally as well as on NFL Network and ESPN, featuring Mannings, JB Smoove, Henrik Lundqvist, Trae Wingo, and Kenny Kane. The ads are another way for Caesars Entertainment to educate its players about the importance of responsible play online as well as in person.
"Responsible gaming is part of the CSR framework and is about trying to improve every day," said Heather Rap, SVP of Corporate Social Responsibility at Caesars Entertainment. "We are committed to building on the legacy of Caesars Entertainment by continuing to innovate in critical spaces like responsible gaming. PGAM is the perfect time to recognize the importance of responsible gaming and what we are doing to create a better environment for our community." 슬롯사이트
